And so ends book 12. Another one down. How on earth did we get to twelve books?!
TL:DR: NO MORE CHAPTERS POSTED FOR THE REST OF THIS WEEK. BOOK 13 STARTS SEPTEMBER 15.
I'll be off with the family for a few days and have promised no working. But probably a little working.
The Writing Update
I'm writing book 13 now, and I think The First Great Game is getting close to the end. It'll probably take my about 3 more months to write. Sure, I could stretch things out for no good reason, but I believe that this book is going to get us to the end of the story. And if spending three years writing my first book (Kings of Paradise) tells you anything, it should be: I don't really do this for the money.
Nonetheless, ending the series is a bittersweet thought, and I suspect I'm not the only one who feels that way. But all stories must end, my friends. I hope to do this one justice before it becomes fantasy Days of Our Lives. Though I realize people do like 'Slice of Life' these days. I might even write some in the future (Mason chilling with his girls, anyone?). But THIS particular story is...not that.
The Future
'So then what are we doing when it's over, you idiot?' asks our mysterious stranger.
Good question, but kind of mean. Fear not! We have projects. Many projects. I've shared a couple, but there's more.
Isle of the Lost Wizards - As shared. Adventure fantasy/Harem. Probably 2-4 books total. The harem would be max 3-4 girls. I still hate the name, but the story is great and the first book is written, just needs editing. Probably the main candidate for right after the great game.
Corrupting Mina. Hoo boy. Dark Harem? I assume that's a thing. This one is...yep, dark. As in the protagonist is literally a vampire-like (but loveable?) villain, scheming (and murdering) to get a local farm girl in his dirty little clutches, manipulating in every direction. I might need a separate pen name for this one. I actually wrote the whole first book over a frenzied week or so. No questions.
The Healer's Game. Sci-fi/fantasy, Harem/Litrpg. Least written here. Probably a small 'core' harem with occasional fun on the side. Name totally invented right now. VERY simple on the litrpg, or else avoided. But I'm somewhat excited about the character and story on this one, can't get it out of my brain. Imagine a futuristic world where nations and corporations play an AI/system-run multi-player game to resolve major conflicts. Think MMORPG arena teams fighting to solve border disputes instead of armies. A major corporate 'team' wins permission to buy another company. And so on. The 'athletes' are like sports stars/politicians. Our hero (who's a bit older, probly like 35) is exceptionally good at what he does, but his 'class' hasn't been 'eligible' by the world's main system, and he's been living a simple life, playing in the 'rec' leagues every chance he gets (usually anonymously), where he's become something of a legend. Until one day the system changes, and let's people like him in...
Descending Dragon - As shared. Classic/Progression fantasy. Not harem. One or two books. First book 3/4 written. But then it has been setting there collecting dust for...awhile. I might need to Partition my mind to finish this one.
Some kind of Great Game follow-up/spin-off?!
There's kinda more, too. But that should be enough to at least say: there's plenty to come. Thanks as ever for joining me in my nonsense, and for all the support. It was the early success here on Patreon that inspired me to keep writing harem. I really am enjoying it, and intend to keep making them and learning/experimenting.
(Also - hope you enjoy the images! = Lodie, Naya, Haley, Becky, Rosa, and Demi. Have I used any of these before? I don't think I did...)
