Small update about the medical situation with my mom

Around mid august my parents went to the doctor we've been told is specialized in treating spinal hernias, 1200 km away from our city. They did all the necessary tests and scans, and gladly no surgery was needed because the hernias were luckily not big enough for that and another method of treating them was available - injections. In the span of 6 days they did 3 injections in the hernias and so far it seems to be doing its job, she feels much more relieved, finally.
