They both contributed much more behind the scenes than onscreen, especially Warren, what with his one lone cameo, whereas Paul was a regularly appearing character in addition to his multiple other duties.

As has been established before in previous episodes, Darryl has never allowed Michael to use the baler, due to it being a dangerous device. If one is neither careful nor cautious, it could crush limbs and such. After Darryl yet again told Michael no, there was an immediate cut to a scene of Michael with warehouse worker Glenn standing in front of the baler, which was the big, red machine [but not "The Big Red Machine" aka "Kane" of World Wrestling Federation (WWF) / World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fame] that was clearly visible onscreen. Michael tried to trick Glenn that Darryl had supposedly given him permission to use the baler, but Glenn of course did not buy Michael's lie, because he knew better, in more ways than one. So, anyway, moving right along here to the main point of this post: A baler is a machine that compresses loose material (like hay, straw, cardboard, or plastic) into dense, manageable blocks called bales, using a hydraulic ram to press the material, which is then bound by twine, wire, or plastic. Used widely in agriculture for crops and in industry for recycling, balers come in various types (round, square, vertical) to create different bale shapes and sizes for easier handling, storage, and transport, with modern versions often featuring smart sensors and automated systems. Agricultural Balers: For crops like hay, cotton, or silage, producing large round or rectangular bales for feed or bedding. Industrial/Recycling Balers: For compressing cardboard, plastic, and aluminum in commercial settings, often with vertical or horizontal chambers. In the case of a paper supplier, the primary (if not exclusive) purpose for a baler would be to break down cardboard boxes in which reams of paper arrive.

He had a diff contract to other cast mates and once his 7 years were up he was a much bigger star and cbs did not want to negotiate a bigger salary for him. The scenes were genuine between the cast as no one wanted him to go.
