2025-10-20 03:42:52 +0000 UTCHey, BJ, much like the construction of your hat has that flat-slash-curved, protruding portion known as either a visor, brim or bill, a duck also has an anatomical body part which is interchangeably called a beak or bill. So, the PUNchline (intentional emphasis on "pun") of the joke is meant to be a pun. Thus, when the drugstore clerk asked "Cash or check" for the lip gloss, the duck's literal response of "Put it on my bill" was a wordplay which had a double meaning. (Or maybe I should say it had a "DUCKBILL meaning"?)
