Please keep in mind that the USSR and Russia today are the same, but with a different name. It never changed, but "improved" their methods. Why we, people of the free world and countries, can't do things right, even in the US government, is because we have Russian KGB spies in the US. Our government has been pressured to look the other way and instead put the blame on the innocent people and their country for the atrocities that the Kremlin has caused. Don't get me wrong, I'm an Austrian/German/Ukrainian/Russian descendant, and I love Russian innocent people, but the Russian Communist government and people who willingly support them, I despise. They should be ashamed of themselves because they know better who is to blame and who is accountable. Kremlin - Putin is still playing Russian Roulette with the Ukrainian people today. Just today, I received news from my half-sister, who currently lives in Zaporizhzhia (Zaporozhye), that 2 Russian missiles hit the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, 18 miles from the nuclear reactor, prompting history to repeat once more. On Aug 3, 2025, and Aug 12, 2025, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was hit by the Russians as a threat to Ukraine and Europe. She's crying and asking me when the US will step in and put a stop to Putin-Kremlin's madness. I don't know what to say, when we have a madman in the White House, I listen to her cries and I cry with her. She's a grandmother and also a dog and a cat breeder.

The casting was perfect and it just really shows the raw emotion of what really happened. As a nurse myself, nobody took the time to explain to that lady why she couldn’t be close to her husband and why it was dangerous for her to touch him. Imagine you go visit your spouse and they say “don’t touch them it’s not safe” and alls you know is he is there for a burn. The nurses are to blame just as much as she is because they never educated her on why it was dangerous and what could happen if she didn’t listen. I experienced this first hand when Covid was real bad. I also think the relationship growth between Legasov and Boris is amazing, they go from in the first episode hating each other to now they are on the same page and you could really tell Boris was FUMING when that German robot broke because it was at that moment he knew he had been played and the government was interested more in covering up the story of what happened then fixing the issue they created.
