Sorry adding more! LOL Adoption is an interesting subject overall. People tend to automatically thik of it as a gift but theres a lot of trauma in kids , even as adults. It was only a few years ago where my eyes were opened to other adoptee perspectives. And even learning more things/ coming to terms with perspectives of my own that I never realized. Im thankful for this movie though and others watching ✨️

When I watched this in theaters, it was almost.. surreal to see visuals of the town, people moving, etc. for the first time ever.. I came to the states when I was 4 months and have no idea of my background. Saw this with my mom who, let me tell you, criiiiiiiied so much. She said she always wanted to meet my birth mom to say "thank you". So the ending really got to her. ❤️ But yes, the life long questions of "what area are you from?" "Whats your family background (medical related)?" .. I have that same exact response as he had in the film. Nothing against those who ask, its just unknown answer for something that typically is so easy for many.
