Taking A Break

Hey, everybody! So, I've been thinking about something for a few days now, and I had some technical issues last night with my computer for all intents and purposes dying on me that I'm taking as a sign from God/the Universe/2020 to finally pull the trigger. I've decided to put my Patreon temporarily on hold.

Before anyone says anything, I'm not quitting! My Patreon page will remain up, none of the posts are going away, I might even throw up a new post from time to time if I want/need to. But I'm pausing all official updates (which have been lacking lately anyway) and at the end of the month, none of you should be charged any money. In short, I'm doing this because I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. I feel weird/bad citing COVID, like there's a voice in the back of my mind telling me that I'm just using a 'real issue' as an excuse for being lazy, but I've heard enough people who are way more knowledgeable than me talking about the mental impact the world being turned upside down has had and it's pretty in line with how I feel.

And to be clear, this isn't a cry for help or anything. I'm okay! Pausing my Patreon is something I'm doing for myself to take a little bit of that pressure off and allowing myself to reset a bit, not to mention focus on a couple other projects that I've allowed to slip a little bit lately. Eventually, I do plan to come back to it, hopefully refreshed and with a renewed sense of direction. When that will happen, I'm not sure yet. Given the nature of my day-job and that The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (*gag*) is coming up, I'll probably keep things paused at least through the end of the year. (Yep, 2020 canceled all my cons, why not my Patreon too! lol) But, beyond that, I'm going to play it by ear. In the meantime, I'm still on Twitter* and Facebook, so feel free to seek me out there if you haven't already.

(*If you're a member of either of the Secret Stash tiers, I've got a new Twitter along those lines, so hit me up if you want the link to that.)

Thank you all for understanding, and as always, thank you all so, so much for the support you've given me. It's always meant the world to me, and it's helped me get through the rougher times. Until next time, I'll be seeing you around!
