A Different Way To Vote?

Hey, guys! So I know we've only just started taking suggestions for the July sketch poll, but this morning I actually found myself already thinking ahead to the August polls. I don't want to give it away, but I'll say that what I have in mind is going to make voting that month a little more complicated. In short, there's going to need to be two winners, and I was brainstorming the best way to go about this. Multiple polls? Allow people to vote twice? One solution I really liked was trying ranked voting. Instead of picking one choice, you'd rank your choice from favorite to least favorite, I'd average it all out, and then use the two most popular choices.

But that got me thinking... is that possibly something we should do for all the sketch polls? With the way these things tend to go, and due in part, I think, to the relatively low number of people that participate in them, it's not unusual to win with only two or even just one vote. It's entirely possible to have a choice that one person loves and everyone else hates, and with only a split vote and a certain roll of the dice, that choice could win and the majority to voters end up disappointed. It certainly sucks in real politics, that's for sure, but unlike the powers that be, I'm at least open to looking at a better system. But before I decided anything for sure, I wanted to run the idea past you all. So, what do you think? Is ranked voting something you'd be interested in trying, possibly starting with the current vote when it goes live next Wednesday? It would require using some outside site (I'm currently looking into a few) or possibly messaging/emailing me your choices and allowing me to do the math. Or would you rather keep the current method of using Patreon's built in polling system where each person gets one vote, winner take all? Let me know what you think down in the comments.
