that's what im noticing about this show. Decided to start watching it myself when I saw that they started reacting to it. I didnt expect for it to get so much into police office politics as well as the crime stuff

Just catching up on this!! Great show so far. Favourite saying for Lee “God grant me the Serenity to Accept the things I can not change. Courage to change the things I can. And the Wisdom to know the difference.” Serenity Prayer

I've only been stopped by the cops once. My friends and I just got done egging someones house (stupid teen stuff). I was just the driver they wanted to egg his house. They wanted to call him so we stopped at a gas station nearby and used a payphone (yeah back in the day lol). All of the sudden about 6 cop cars come rushing in pulling their guns out at us telling us to stop. We were confused because all this just for egging. Turns out the gas station was just robbed so they stopped us lmao. Wrong place wrong time

Omar is a straight up Punk... Omar Had The Guys Involved With The Brandon Death and Just Hid Across The Street in The Lady House That He Gives FREE Drugs To While She Gets High in The Presence of Her Son. #TellemTANKseddit

To know why Major Rawls is "going after" McNulty you have to LISTEN To and PAY ATTENTION To The Dialogue Between Rawls and McNulty in Episode 1 Where Rawls Told McNulty That McNulty went to Judge Phelan and now has The Homicide Division working "Project Murders" nobody cares about and had Major Rawls and Deputy Commissioner Burrell answering Questions About a "Project N!gger nobody Ever Heard of". The Straw That Broke The Camels Back Was When Major Rawls Wanted To Charge D'Angelo Barksdale for The Murder of Deidra Crescent but McNulty Convinced LT. Daniels to Fight For The Case To Continue. Rawls Then Went To Detective Santangelo and Had Him Spy on McNulty or Solve one of His old cold cases. #IETVandMovieTalk #WeJustTalkingTVandMOVIES #TellemTANKseddit #TANKTheTVandMovieMaven

Chap’s Pit Beef is a must! But only if you go to the original one in the show!🥩🍖🍗😁👍🏻

Rawls was pissed off with McNulty because he went to the judge in the first episode. You’re getting a really good look at office politics and the way people step on other people to get promoted. But wait there’s more…. also, it was hilarious to watch BJ plead the fifth and lawyered up when Asia started questioning him about his story.😆

Some of us feel that you aren't watching " The Wire" with the frequency of past series. It really is better when viewed at a brisk pace. Also there's a movie about a certain cybernetic law enforcement officer..............

Justin Freeman

The character named Waylon that gave the drug addiction speech is singer/songwriter Steve Earle. Sings the song Copperhead Road. He is a recovering heroin addict in real life.

Bunk and McNulty have the best drunk scenes ever on TV! Bunk burning the clothes is one of the funniest things I've ever seen lol :)

James Forrest

Hehehehehehehe............. I changed my avatar to ROBOCOP!

Justin Freeman

Hey! Both the cops and the criminals use kids. Wouldja look at that.

Daniel Moskowitz

You are over complicating the Major. He doesn't like him. He blames him for the leak that the judge leaked and he keeps going against the Major.

Jesse McAdams

Hey Asia. Unfortunately in many places in this country there's a crime called civil asset forfeiture, where your money or property can be confiscated and charged with a crime if they believe you received it through illegal means. In this case, the person is often not charged with a crime, though the money is and you have to prove otherwise to get it back. There have been cases of people being pulled over and being found to have 10k+ in cash on them and had it taken. I knew a guy in college that was selling lots of weed and when he got busted, the cops took his brand new truck.

rmv4life

Yeah I think they said he had $500k stashed away or in assets?

MAAAANNN these two episodes, this show is cooking! Omar is such a badass. I was kind of hoping at the end that he would jump out and kill the two guys coming out of Orlando’s (I assume it was Stringer and Avon) but that would kind of end the plot right there lol. Maybe he would have if he didn’t get that talking to. Idk. I watched this so long ago I remember the characters but totally forget what happens and I’m loving this!

Bill B.

Difference between D'Angelo in contrast to his uncle Avon & Stringer Bell that gets overlooked, is D has a child. Kids make you look at life differently.

In episode 3, McNulty’s FBI friend tells him that Daniels is dirty. The BPD asked the FBI to investigate him and they discovered based on assets investigation that he had more money than he should based on his salary at which point the BPD stopped the FBI from investigating further. That’s all we know at this point.

Yessss! Rewatching The Wire with you both has been so fun so far

Kyy

Rawls doesn’t like McNulty because he dug up old cases and left his rotating assignment to go after Barksdale, which affected the statistics. Rawls values his statistics highly and doesn’t forgive McNulty for going to the judge and making him look foolish by revealing that they had 12 unsolved murders allegedly linked to Barksdale. Rawls is a careerist before he is a police

Lets gooooooo

Hey Asia and BJ. I'm just catching up with you on the show. I posted from episode 1 that if you're really serious about visiting here (Baltimore City) let me know and I would be more than happy to show the "real" Baltimore. I would also show some locations that scenes were shot (no pun intended). Lol
