"It don't look like they came to play a song" and who doesn't love antonio bandaras and Selma Hayek!? (Asia i'd definitely pick Antonio up as a hitchhiker and Salma did add the romance BJ LOL!) Definitely check out the Mask of Zorro (and the friend at the beginning is steve Buscemi, he was in the big lebowski and also check him out in the TV series Boardwalk empire, he's great). Love this :-) :-) Also check out the sequel to this called "once upon a time in mexico" with Johnny Depp and Antonio B. and Selma H. come back for that one too. Just as fun!

I do enjoy the sequel “Once Upon A Time In Mexico” 🇲🇽 damn this really brought me back. You know this guy also made “Spy Kids”? Love this choice ❤️

Made for only $10,000, "El Mariachi" was Rodriguez's initial attempt at a feature film, and its critical acclaim and success allowed him to secure financing for "Desperado." While "Desperado" continues the storyline of "El Mariachi," it can also be seen as a remake. This film marked Salma Hayek's first major role in the U.S. and helped launch her career. Robert Rodriguez's action sequences in "Desperado" were heavily influenced by John Woo, whose films are characterized by slow-motion gunfights, dual-wielding firearms, and a focus on visual storytelling. Woo's style also influenced "The Matrix," which features similar dynamic action sequences. Although you saw John Woo's "Face/Off," I believe his best work lies in his early films from Hong Kong, such as "The Killer," "Hard Boiled," and "A Better Tomorrow," all of which feature incredible action sequences. There is also a sequel to "Desperado" called "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." In addition to the "Desperado" films, one of my favorite works by Rodriguez is "Machete," a throwback to the exploitation films of the '70s, featuring exaggerated violence, graphic gore, nudity, and sexual content—definitely my kind of movie!
