He uses psychological torture in order to control his children in order to “get them in line” to make himself look like the perfect “Christian” to others. It’s obvious that he doesn’t love Wendy considering what he said about turning her kids against her so much that they would never come back to her. He wasn’t taking them out of danger at all. He was doing it to hurt her. What he whispered to her showed his true intentions and provided a glimpse of the abuse Wendy and Ben experienced probably all their lives. No wonder Wendy is a control freak who acted out as a teenager and still has personality issues. I believe her abrasive personality is a consequence of her upbringing and genetics.

But really, he spells it out to Charlotte when he vents to her about the stress of going and being the head of the cartel, accidentally killing an innocent guy. Then every with Wendy. Then they are building the road rage and Wendy is pushing him non stop in the car after the stuff with Omar. The scene is choreographed perfectly. - Also there Laura Linney who plays Wendy directed the episode. The last season had some cool gues directors. I know Robin Wright (The Princess Bride, House Of Cards, plus a million other things) did an episode or two.

If you guys like Camilla she's in another show called Queen of the South it's on Netflix has five seasons it's really good she's the same character I suppose I've seen them both and I haven't really connected it until now it's really really good and of course you guys can also check out that Mayans MC like I'm always mentioning both of them are excellent can't wait to watch the last two episodes told you this show is nuts enjoy

2025-01-26 08:40:27 +0000 UTCOK, I just finished watching episode 12 and I have an opinion about Wendy because I’m an armchair psychologist. 😂 I think Wendy had an extremely rough childhood due to her dad and the way her pastor basically turned her away as a teenager when she confessed to having multiple abortions. As a result, she became a narcissist. Narcissists act like they are better and smarter than everyone but deep down they don’t believe it. It’s a defense mechanism she acquired as a teenager for survival, but she no longer needs it as an adult. She could have maybe gotten better with therapy, but usually narcissistic people stay that way. Most narcissists have had extremely tough upbringings.

What a transition from season 1. He’s now ran the cartel, had a man tortured and executed on his command, and looked pretty comfortable doing it too. Like BJ said, a little Navarro 2.0 And Wendy is doing the same shenanigans she did with Helen, doing deals behind Marty's back now with Camila. And her acting (Laura Linney) is phenomenal, I've watched a few interviews of her and it takes my brain some convincing that that's not Wendy, and that I can trust she's not being manipulative/deceitful Lol

When he's surrounded by people who have self control issues that he can lose it on he chooses a stranger. I wonder if Wendy will change any toward him after witnessing it?
