2025-04-13 20:33:36 +0000 UTCThere were a couple of scenes that reminded me of Shaft (2019). If you haven't seen it, it's really a MUST SEE. I didn't know him, but Samuel L. Jackson and I both grew up in Chattanooga, TN. I laughed my ass off for that whole movie! You really should watch it.

This movie also help launched George Michael into the stratosphere. The song at the end is by James Ingram. He is one that you didn't recognize during We Are The World, but wanted to know more about him. You've reacted to one of his Quincy Jones' songs, but it's been a hot minute (Just Once, but could be wrong). I think you'll probably recognize him most for his song with Kinda Ronstadt 'Somewhere Out There' from An American Tail or his single 'I Don't Have The Heart.' He was an incredible artist that was gone was to soon. 💜

I had wanted one since I was a kid, and finally, a couple of years ago, I bought one with a raindrop Damascus San Mai constructed blade. Axel's knife that broke is just a basic Buck 110 folding hunter. You see those everywhere. I have like 5 of them, one of which is a button operated automatic. Very good pocket knives.

Come on Asia…I miss you singing. Oooo…”Defying Gravity”. Ugh. You would kill that song. Or any song tbh. Fun fact. The guy who plays Jeffery (goofball who wrecked the car) is also the same man who plays Dr. Owen’s in Stranger Things!!! Just like about 35 years later. I couldn’t believe it. And the accountant also did the voice of the bird in Disney’s animated original “Aladdin”. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Love you guys.

A little anecdote, Eddie Murphy said Sylvester Stalone accused him of having an affair with his wife, Brigette Nielsen during the filming of the movie (the tall blonde woman). Additionally, Stalone was approached first to play Axel Foley before Eddie but had a different vision to play him. He later used his idea as the staring role for the movie Cobra. One more thing, Asia wanted to know the name of the singer at the end of the film, it's James Ingram.

And yes, there is a BHC III…unfortunately Taggert is retired in that one but Rheinhold and Murphy reprise their roles in the third movie. Three is good but in my opinion, not as good as one and two. Robin Givens, former wife of Mike Tyson has a role in BHC III and it all takes place over corruption at a fictional Theme Park in California called Wonder World.
