Vampire Girl Commission
Added 2020-03-09 17:01:01 +0000 UTCA recent commission I did of the requester as a vampire character. (I think it was Lady Death, but I don't really know Lady Death well enough to be sure. I think they were mostly interested in the goth aesthetic anyway.) Between you and me, I had some doubts about this one when I first got the request. Among a few other reasons, this is eventually going to be used as a tattoo for her husband, and that's always an intimidating task. I will often have some trouble looking at my older work, so the idea of someone getting one of my silly little doodles engraved permanently on their flesh kinda freaks me out. But, existential dread aside, it actually turned out to be a pretty fun project, and I mostly like the final product. I kinda think it ended up looking a bit like a Castlevania boss; like I can almost see this thing shooting out Medusa heads at me while I hurl axes at it. Once I started looking at it from that perspective, it was pretty fun to do.
