Finally catching up: I thought y’all would have looked up poppies when “milk of the poppy” came up during GOT.

As a former opioid dependence disorder sufferer...pain pills can be helpful to some people and they come off of them just fine. Others, all it takes is to have them even one time and your receptors light up like a Christmas tree and it can become a life long struggle. Also, they are very expensive on the street which is why so many people turn to heroin. Just a warning from someone who knows....avoid narcotic painkillers like the plague because you never know how your system will react to them.

I think what happened to Charlotte is what Buddy warned her about. If you swim out past the bouys, there are hidden currents caused by the wake of boats that have sped by.

I've heard starlings are some of the best talking birds you can get though. If you capture a couple, you can really get them talkin.

Dan Gonya

Exactly my thoughts.

Raider Ron

Na Kansas and STL domt beef. STL doesn't have a football team. We all good here in St Louis lol

When the last episode ended, I was like, "WTF?! They can't just end an episode like that." But, when I watched the next episode, it was a flashback episode. The suspense was killing me y'all, haha! But I feel like that's part of the suspense from the last episode. When I saw this episode for the first time, I was like, "Okay, the back story of how Marty and Wendy got here, makes sense." Thus far, it's been fun rewatching and watching y'all's reaction to this dramatic, suspenseful, and thrilling show. Sending y'all peace and love!

I hope I don't disappoint you but I'm no Chiefs fan. lol I love their team colors. The hat just matched my red pants and shirt. So, I threw it on. We're Detroit Lions fans over here. We just might see you guys in the Super Bowl. Hopefully #OnePride

I hate when I'm not expecting a flashback episodes, but they are usually always on point, it was so good to background info on how everything started

Amanda Winner

Amazing acting between Jason Bateman and Laura Linney during fight scene in episode 7!!!!

mj curtis

I guess y’all didn’t notice, but at the beginning of episode 8 it said 2007 at the top of the screen (right before the car crash).

Julie A

good theory but wrong haha. when Dell caught bruce he asked them how they did it and Bruce said they rigged the scales so it showed heavier barrels of money even after they skimmed some off the top. Each barrel is supposed to weigh a certain amount so bruce was taking a few stacks off each barrel and that's how he got caught and Marty didn't know he was doing it

Zach P

my interpretation is that she was seeing if she COULD off herself if she wanted to. Like testing if she could go all the way through with it. And she realized she could so she came up and laughed like ok cool i have this option incase things don't get better. Crazy interpretation but that's what i got from that part. The laugh made me think that was the situation because a cramp wouldn't cause her to be limp on purpose and then laugh after coming up

Zach P

Definitely a good movie. Great cast and I always enjoy Vince Vaughn and his humor.

Kim

I think she got a cramp

Lauren Moore

The drowning scene has always confused me ! I have no idea 😂

Michele G

I always thought she was having or on the verge of a panic attack and then she was able to get it under control and reel it in.

Kandi Melvin

I had to ask AI about that scene to get it's take: Charlotte Byrde's decision to swim to the bottom of the lake reflects her deep emotional turmoil and feelings of being overwhelmed by the chaos in her family’s life. The Byrdes' sudden move to the Ozarks, their involvement in dangerous criminal activities, and the stress of adapting to this new environment have all taken a toll on her. The scene symbolizes Charlotte's search for clarity or escape. As she swims deeper, it conveys a metaphorical desire to drown out her problems, perhaps even testing her own limits. When she finally comes back to the surface, it's a moment of resilience—emerging from the depths of despair and confusion, much like the Byrdes' ongoing struggle for survival. So maybe Charlotte is locked in now, we'll see.

CS

You want tension y’all? Your heart rates will literally go through the roof each episode!—I thought Charlotte’s swim is metaphor, Her maybe feeling as if she was drowning (incomprehensible stress of her shattered world) then sinking (having no hope) pushing herself up from the bottom (realizing that she wants to live)
