January Secret Stash Winner: Sorayama Robo-Girl

This month's Secret Stash winner was inspired by the robot girl created by Hajime Sorayama, most famous for appearing on the November 1980 cover of Heavy Metal magazine. To that end, I tried creating my own cover, which turned out to be a lot of fun. It's always quite interesting to me the effect things like logos and titles have on art. It hard for me to put into words, but it somehow makes it feel "real" to me to go from a simple image to a cover, if that makes any sense.
It was also interesting to draw and color a sexy girl made entirely out of metal. It sort of prevented me from using some of my usual tricks and forced me to get a bit creative in a few areas. I wasn't sure I could pull it off at first, but I ended up quite proud of the result. I hope you all like it, too!
