2025-01-09 10:09:00 +0000 UTCgreat one, and denzel did an amazing job in "flight". if I can make a suggestion, I think you guys should once in a while do a poll, but then spin a wheel or something like that to pick the winner so the less popular stuff wins, because sometimes you might be missing some gems and sometimes people only like what they know or go with really mainstream picks.

He can act rings around the likes of cruise pitt and dicaprio. Watch the movie Flight please, I beg you, that movie broke me as someone who struggled with addiction. Best movie I've ever seen about a man dealing with alcoholism. His acting is so understated and beautiful in it. Made me cry

I don't know if someone wrote this but that famous "King Kong" scene was all improvised by Denzel he was "in the zone, he was in the moment" that were the words from Antoine Fuqua(the director)

Another top 10 favorite movies of mine. Ethan Hawke, Eva Mendez, Dr. Dre, Snoop, and Macy Gray were awesome in this one (Which I total forgot that they had minor rolls in this movie ha-ha). It's been quite a while since I saw this movie and I'm happy I was able to watch this one with y'all. Great reaction to another Denzel Washington movie. Another great Denzel Washington movie is John Q if you guys haven't already seen it.

You hear him say "just make sure the bathtubs clean". He's setting up a hit on Hoyt with Smiley. When hoyt goes into the kitchen at Smileys, smiley pulls a stack of money out of the blender box and tells I'm assuming his sister to count it in the bedroom. That's the payment to carry out the hit. So hoyt unknowingly pays his own hit man to kill him. Edit: nevermind. I typed this before your followup. But yall caught it

Maybe it's because he's playing a villainous character when I so much prefer his heartfelt performances in things like John Q, or where he's taking out bad guys like in The Equalizer. Certainly an Oscar worthy performance though.

I ate there many times living in downtown LA and it was always a funny feeling having a gourmet meal at 3/4am with a maitre d’ and waiters dressed to the 9’s. Sadly it closed during Covid and the family decided to not reopen and I believe sell the land.
