Dec. Poll Winner: GI Joe
Added 2019-12-30 18:00:03 +0000 UTCI must confess, GI Joe is one of the big 80's properties that I just never got that into. I think I might be ever so slightly too young for it, like maybe I would have gotten into it more if I was even a year or two older; but as is, I simply missed the boat. That being the case, I wasn't sure how this would turn out when GI Joe won this month's poll. Nevertheless, the stars seemed to have aligned just right, and I ended up having a great time working on this. (Mostly. There were some... issues when it came to coloring, but that's a whole other deal.) I ended up drawing a lot of inspiration from old Marvel war comics like "Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos" and even a little Captain America. (If you don't have any real Hitlers to punch, store bought is fine.)
