That particular psychiatric facility is called McClean and it's actually a facility that I've been to before (I was in for depression, Borderline which is not at ALL like they portrayed it in the film, and an eating disorder). Those tunnels in the basement are absolutely a real thing and people do absolutely run around in the tunnels at night 😂. If you take one of the East tunnels there's like a daycare for the children of employees but it is the creepiest place I've ever seen in my life there's just like old dirty kids toys in this basement hallway of a psych ward it's deeply creepy. This film is a hard watch for me because of my own experiences and everything that I went through but it's also really interesting to see a place that I have lived be on such a famous film. Thank you for watching this film and thank you for showing it the respect and attention that it deserves I appreciate that you do that in every single one of your reactions. It's why we love y'all ❤️

Love this movie and just finished watching with you guys. One thing I thing to touch on about this subject is that back in those days, people especially young women were put needlessly into psychiatric hospitals and tucked away from society for the smallest deviation from the norm. Although we didn't get to know too much about the supporting characters, I think there is something to be said about their "maladies" and why they were there. Is being through the trauma of being burned in a fire a reason to be put away? What about being a pathological liar? Or a lesbian? Or promiscuous? These girls don't follow the rules of society so let's get them out of it - jail essentially. We did see some who clearly needed to be there, Lisa, for example, and Daisy, who was done a major disservice by the ward for letting her out and failing to recognize the issues that Lisa saw so clearly. Not that Lisa was right for saying what she did. And as far as Susanna goes, being borderline definitely does not warrant being in a psych ward for years on end. It's a condition similar to depression, bipolar, etc, that can be managed with therapy and medication in an outpatient setting.

I really love this movie and it’s relatable for me bc of my neuro-spicey brain. I have a couple of great movie suggestions: “Kalifornia” with Brad Pitt , Juliette Lewis and David Duchovny. Kind of scary, but definitely twisted and you get invested in the characters right away. Also the movie “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf”. Another B&W movie that’s so good. It’s got Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Totally a great movie. I hope you watch both. Love you guys.

Thank you A&B for watching my recommendation. I apologize for taking so long to comment!!! BIG MAJOR THANK YOU FOR THE SHOUT OUT! OMG! Y'all are cray. I truly enjoyed watching this movie with y'all and didn't realize it would be so emotional. But that's what watching movies is all about, right? Immersing yourself in that place, time, event...feel like you are there, experiencing and feeling right along with the characters. I love ya A&B xoxo. Y'all ready for this Texas summer knocking on our doorstep?
