2024-04-11 05:02:01 +0000 UTCthe visual effects was weirdly distributed in this movie Imhotep's mummy body, his cronies and the environments got the most money in the budget, followed by the pygmy mummies and then the Scorpion King's hybrid body bringing up the rear I don't get that at all; even makng SK's face into a video game quality was strange Imhotep and SK should've gotten equal allottment of resources

2024-04-11 05:00:22 +0000 UTCIf you want my opinion, DO NOT watch another Mummy movie other than the Scorpion King There is a third Mummy but it's not as good as the first two; the charm is almost not there, Evie was recast, the setting isn't Egypt anymore but China; it just wasn't that likeable unfortunately There was a remake in 2017; it was supposed to start off a new movie universe, like Marvel, Universal Pictures's Dark Universe featuring the classic lineup of monsters from the 30s through the 50s but the movie tanked at the box office and with critics so the idea got abandoned Now, it just hangs around like a useless limb, which degrades the value of the remake even further After you watch the Scorpion King, MOVE ON please You'll be wasting your time, trust me

I agree with Dan above, for the CGI of the day, people were appalled at how bad the special effect of The Rock as the Scorpion King looked on screen. It was pretty bad. There is another movie in the franchise, but Rachel Weisz did not want to play Evie again. They cast a different actress, so that was weird. Tom Cruise did a mummy movie but it was a total flop. Partly because the script was almost word-for-word of the first movie in the franchise. They changed the mummy to a woman. This was a great watch. Love you guys!

Yes the humor in this one is top level. Johnathan is a total mess. Alex is adorable and a smart butt. I will never forget Asia calling them "jungle gremlins"! That was the best thing I've ever heard.
