So, in this Central/South American setting, it's definitely a jaguar. I know it's a terrible idea for regular people to own wild animals...but I still want to raise a black jaguar from a baby and roll the dice. If it grows up and kills me...well, I guess I had it coming. ๐

Sacrifice has been prominent in most early religions, especially human sacrifice given what archaeologists find when they dig. Plus enslaving people from other tribes to do work like building pyramids, etcetera.
