But you know what gets under my skin... every time he goes into a fight we have the commentators saying he's always a fighter with minimal talent or skill. How many fights does he have to win before they can stop spinning that line? Give him his flowers already.

It STILL gets me going. The movie was huge, and "Eye of the Tiger" was a HUGE hit song. RIP Carl Weathers. Have u guys done Stallone's FIRST BLOOD?

2024-03-12 21:42:04 +0000 UTCi listened to the hulk hogan interview when he talked about shooting these scenes, and he said he actually messed up sly stallone doing those fists to the back, and he was only doing like a small amount of release. hogan hitting you i guess is like a log coming down on you.

Rocky 4 is important to see because it also reflects the feelings in America and the American people that permeated our culture in the mid 1980s, and the tension that was felt in terms of the Cold War and animosity between the United States and the Soviet Union. The battle between Rocky and his opponent in Rocky 4 was a proxy for the conflict and distrust felt in US/Soviet relations. The rest of the Rocky movies are less unanimous in importance.

People may tell you to stop, but Rocky V and Rocky Balboa (the 6th movie) really follow Rocky’s journey and his character development. Then you can watch the Creed movies. If you stop at Rocky 4, you won’t know what’s happening.

2024-03-09 16:55:40 +0000 UTCRocky 4 is seen as the 80s flashy-but-shallow and very-formulaic entry into the series. Think of it as the McDonald's of the series. To give you some perspective: they shrunk the film down to 93 minutes and NEARLY 1/3 OF THE FILM IS MUSICAL MONTAGE. Now a lot of people LOVE that about it, but a lot of people didn't (in fact, Sly had so many issues with it including the ones I just mentioned that in the last few years, he re-edited the entire thing into a film called Rocky vs Drago). Rocky 5 was an attempt to ground the series more and again, some people liked that, and a lot of people didn't. Say what you will about Rocky 5 though, but it definitely had more depth and characterization, paying a lot less attention to popcorn-film sensationalism. Rocky Balboa (or part 6), is a more successful attempt at what Rocky 5 was trying to do. Either way, I wouldn't skip Rocky 5 and I prefer it over Rocky 4.

Both have HIGH I.Q.s but as is well known Dolph advertised it while Carl was more in control and mature. Dolph was moody and unbearable after he lost the game. This led to more low class reactions by Dolph that led to the big blowout.

Actors copied his Mickey role one being a British actor another a Dutch man. He was in an eclectic group of films like Ernie Pyle GI Story, Of Mice & Men, Street of Chance, In Harms Way etc from late 30s for about 50 years. He was married to the gorgeous Paulette Godard and that's not a load of bullocks.

2024-03-09 01:04:16 +0000 UTCHulk Hogan actually hurt Stallone during filming. They didn't rehearse and Stallone told Hogan to hit him as hard as he could. Hogan almost broke his collar bone. Hogan actually got in trouble filming this instead of being at an event for wrestling. Also not sure if you noticed but Mickey is the Grandfather in Grumpy (Grumpier) Old Men. The one that died. Rocky 4 is VERY good. 5 was trash but 6 (called Balboa) was about 20 years later and was one of the best in the franchise. The Creed movies came in afterwards. I highly recommend atleast continuing to watch Balboa.

The debut of Dolph Lungren stirred trouble he came across as a punk offending and disrespecting Carl Weathers during the shooting. Weathers angry while Sly told him he can't change anything at that point. Sly was upset till the end of the filming with Lungren.

A big part of the reason for that was that it was supposed to be the final Rocky movie and it really wasn't a good "finale" to be honest. That said, Rocky Balboa came out 16 years later which served as a much better finale to the series. The end result is that, rather than being a bad finale, Rocky 5 is now a much better and fitting chapter in the character arc. Rocky Balboa, in my opinion, is right up there with the original Rocky; it's fantastic.

I deleated the app and reinstalled, but it’s still the same. When I click where the thumbnail would be, it just takes me to the collections window where it’s the same with no thumbnail. It just keeps putting in a loop. Anyone have any ideas. My other Patreon channel is working. I’m so confused.
