Micheal knew Fredo was the traitor because in Havanna Fredo said that he never met Johnny Ola. Then later at the sex show Fredo said he found that place because Johnny Ola brought him there.

There is a few moments in it that you cringe so hard you want to hide. You will also see how a popular recently released movie is very influenced by the King of Comedy.

Chichi the “buffer” was the loan shark Rocky worked for. I was waiting for that reaction when Kay tells Michael the truth about the pregnancy. Y’all did not disappoint. Every time I watch that scene, I love Al Pachino’s acting there. Just watching his face as she’s telling him. You just know he is taking everything he has to hold back from choking her out.

But then in cuba, Fredo inadvertently says it was Johnny who had taken him to that club and revealed that they had had contact. So Michael knew Fredo was the link. It took me several times through this to figure out the whole story line. But what was really interesting in showing the backstory of Vito was the contrast between him and Michael. Vito, while he could be ruthless, was essentially a person who assumed responsibilty for his friends and family and had a truely protective attitude towards them. You almost never saw young Vito without one of his babies. Michael did not have the same compassion, only the ruthlessness. Which is why in the last shot he is totally alone.

I think it has a lot to do with waiting so long to watch part 2 after part 1. There is a lot of pieces to this puzzle. It's a very smart film and it's easy to get lost If you aren't fresh off the details maybe she will rewatch it because it's an amazing film

2024-03-07 01:56:59 +0000 UTCMoe Green, guys, was the guy who owns the casino in Part One and who Michael makes the buy-out offer when he visits Vegas and finds out that Moe slapped Fredo around for sleeping with all the waitresses! He's the one who gets shot through the eye whilst getting the massage. Hyman wants Michael dead, in part, as revenge for Moe. He has planned it for years probably, but never felt sufficiently strong to take him on. But now that Michael has alienated his friends and some of his allies, and with Roth cutting his deal in Cuba with the government there, he is in some ways more powerful than Michael and he thinks the time is now right to act. His plan is a good one, on the surface of it anyway. But reckons without Castro's revolution succeeding on the one hand and Michael having the smarts to figure it out although not, until that moment where Roth tells him the story about Moe, what his deeper motivations are ... he does think it's purely a matter of business, but to Michael's credit he knows immediately who the attempt on his life was ordered by. The reason he doesn't strike immediately is exactly what he tells Frankie Five Angels; he needs to figure out who the traitor inside the family was first. That's the reason for all his misdirection and his evasiveness. But Michael knows almost at once who's behind it all. This movie is so layered and with such depth, it's just a wonderful film.
