Better Call Saul S6. E13

Better Call Saul S6. E13

Comments

theres zero reason for Maries dumb self to even be apart of this series. She def didnt need to be in that room. Saul has nothing to do with Hank.

A LINUS ADVENTURE

I'm hoping they'll do Reacher too - love Sons of Anarchy.

You need to watch Sons of Anarchy and Black Sails ♥

SylMyl

Thank you so much for coming on this journey with us, Daisy!! This show was more than awesome, and we enjoyed every bit of it! I'm so glad you all suggested we check it out! Happy Holidays!

Asia and BJ

So far I'm seeing a lot of Ozarks and The Wire in suggestions, I think those are both super solid, high quality series. Both are relatively short too, so it's not a huge time commitment. For example, Dexter is 96 episodes. The Wire is 60, and Ozarks only 44. I personally think Sons of Anarchy is right there with them, but seems like maybe not quite as popular with the masses. That's a longer series too - 92 episodes. Peaky Blinders might low-key be best of the bunch. Super short series - 36 episodes in total.

coburnsven

Super enjoyed this journey with y’all! Thank you!

daisy

I can't wait to see how you react to the wire :)

BlackLion

Start "The Wonder Years'. Y'all will onboard so many new fans and love it. It's iconic and special, generations will be leaving their youthful memories, experiences and exploits in the comments.

well, sad the journey has ended. so glad you guys took the ride. Riding along with you guys has made the last year more bearable, for sure. But glad you liked them as much as we all did. Some masterful shows. Great stories. So well tied together. I thought about it at the end again, how BB really wouldnt have happened without Jimmy/Saul. And that last shot with Kim and Jimmy smoking in their typical 'setting' with the light from the window. Its like an album cover. Thnx again guys! Much love! Merry Christmas!

pkleo73

You guys have heard of Wayfarer before. It was Wayfarer Flight 515 that collided with a charter plane right above Walt's house in Breaking Bad.

Dan Gonya

Was awesome to watch this and Dex at same time had a great time

HipCat57

Lilyhammer, Deadwood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hell On Wheels, Queen's Gambit. All 9 out of 10 if Sapranos, GOT and Breaking Bad are 10 out of 10...Yellowstone/1883/1923 10 out of 10

IRLEPL

*sigh* what a ride. Loved watching this with you guys, and I agree... OZARK is a great show. Would love to watch that with y'all. Btw, words cannot express how much I love that cigarette smoking scene with Jimmy and Kim at the end.

Yess... Cuban B

BJ = “Saul Over!!’ — Love it

Mike Martinez

also that last scene with Chuck i believe is the actual thing that Jimmy wishes he could go back to change, he wishes he couldve gone back to that and talked to his brother like Chuck wanted to. Which is why he grabbed the book at the end of the scene The Time Machine

OhBxnny

OZARK! Fo sho you will LOVE Ozark!

Jano Bobano

If you're looking for a new show, I wouldn't mind rewatching Black Sails or Vikings. And I know it's a long shot but I'll also throw out Happy!, starring Chris Meloni. I feel like no one watched that show but imo it's a real hidden gem.

Dominique Cloet

Great watching along with you guys! If you're looking for further recommendations, The Wire is probably the greatest tv show of all time. An absolute must. Boardwalk Empire and Deadwood also represent the peak of great HBO series.

nick payne

OZARK is a MUST!!!!

Joe Lazarus

Ok. It’s time now to let us know how each of you would rank BCS vs BB vs Sopranos vs GOT if you had to rank them in terms of most enjoyable to watch personally! Let us know!

N M

The handmaids tale and prison break are a couple of good ones. Still banging the table for the one season long dexter new blood and handmaids tale lezzzz goooo

Shadowtrader1929

I recommend The Boys & Ozark, but Vikings is my #1 I recommend as well. Such a underrated show. So many great characters. Season 4 was amazing

Josh

i like that we finally get to see a glimpseeee of how jimmy/saul treatedd Chuck when he wasn't at his best. Imagine how often he behaved like that.

Rue Surnameunimportant

OZARK or we RIOT 🔥

OZARK is Neeeeeeext 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

TL;DR: I disagree, there was a "grand" character change, but in the end, dealing with a monster, similar to Heisenberg, there may not of been deaths, but lives ruined in its wake. It was inevitable. The only one who could stop it was Jimmy himself, but through the "power of love" lol . Full Context: Completely disagree with your comment, the point of the last episode was to show the diabolical genius of the con/lawyer known as Saul Goodman operating exactly where he was most comfortable... again, to realizing that the only person "Besides Chuck" that he loved, was about to go down accounting for her part, and yet again he was about to get away with his shenanigans. If you notice, Kim is the only person who was ever able to get Jimmy to straighten up and fly right through out any and all of the seasons after Chuck. However even only that could last for so long before getting snared into Saul Goodman. The justification is definitely there, and the build up definitely solid. When she left, he descended into the dark abyss turned fully into SG, and if never caught... he never would of stopped. There are a few scenes to note, but one significant scene in particular was his recalling the time in the basement with Walter White. What you have to understand about this scene is that "it" is the catalyst for his character epiphany. His conversation with Mike about the "Time Machine" ended with Mike confessing to regret and what he would like to change. Jimmy... not so much. Walter was the only one who caught on quick when asked a question about going back in time, and convinced Jimmy to face truth. The thing that makes this significant, is that it reveals that in Jimmy's world view, he has no regrets and that yes... he has always been like this! But what closes the chapter on this tale, is his conversation finally with Chuck that reveals that this has been a potential conversation that they have had for years, and that Chuck has always been trying to get through to him for a long time. We've known now for a bit that Chuck was the "good guy", but with out the context of showing Kim's fall at the hands of Jimmy/Saul, we would never fully understand how "Slipping Jimmy" pulled Chuck down, and why he resorted to space blankets and tin foil caps. Now... sitting on this plane, thinking about both people he loved (Chuck, and Kim) whose lives were ruined by him, is it worth it to "get away with it yet again?" The revelation of HG Wells Time Machine sitting on the counter next to Chuck, is to hammer home how much Chuck was right, and how much of an influence over Jimmy he really was. The alter ego "Saul Goodman", like the alter ego "Heinsberg" was to show what these men were truly capable of in this world, if they let the devil within out. Like Darth Vader being redeemed at the end of the Star Wars saga going back to Anakin Skywalker after a lifetime of atrocities and war crimes, Saul went back to Jimmy after seeing Kim, and figured out, this may be the last time he will ever have a chance at making things "right", even if knowing that "right" may not do much in making things actually "right". This in my opinion, is how great stories are told!

Clockwork360

They would love Ozark

Yimmy Yurner

The prison Saul went to is a real security max prison in Colorado, "ADX Florence" nicked named the "Alcatraz of the Rockies." It's where they have El Capo, and held The Unabomber before he died. Literally impossible to escape, and by some mircale u do the prison is surrounded by open land for miles... not a tree to hide under

Josh

Recommend Vikings, The Boys, or Ozark for shows in the future

Josh

That was fun! And that’s how you do a series finale!

Julie A

The end said it all now becoming Jimmy once again he wanted to save Kim and be honest for her and the memory of his brother. He knew he caused the downfall of his brother and In the end he would’ve made Chuck happy, mostly telling the truth (besides Kim not being involved in Howard’s death) about everything under the law and by the law. Mike would’ve changed the day he became a corrupt, Walter would’ve changed leaving Grey Matter. Jimmy would change what happened to his Brother and Howard going back to the day his brother told him he can choose a different path if he doesn’t like the one he’s on because Jimmy was just trying to follow Chuck instead of finding a job he himself is passionate about. Like imagine how successful he’d be as a car salesman or selling houses both jobs that require exactly what he’s perfect at, selling dreams and he’d make good money. Chuck knew that it was an endless cycle and Jimmy would keep trying to follow. But in the end he’s also Saul Goodman and he ended up landing well, though locked up seemingly safe being they all know him because he’s defended the lowest of the low which earned him respect. Whether he helped them personally or the reputation for helping particularly criminals so I guess it isn’t “Saul Gone”. He got closure with Kim and alas we say farewell to the BB universe 🫶. I definitely recommend Ozark and Boardwalk empire if you haven’t seen those 2.

Hi A&B, it was so fun rewatching BCS with you. Thank you 😊 When Saul was in that room with the Feds discussing his deal, he did get it down to 7 years and wanted to be at the Club Fed facility that had golf and he wanted ice cream. He made a point that he visited a client at ADX Montrose and refused to do his time there. I think when he found out that Kim could be in trouble with Howard’s wife, he had her come to the courtroom and confessed to all that in order to take the blame away from Kim because he loves her. He gave up 7 years at a cushy facility and got 86 years at the prison he wanted to stay away from ADX Montrose for Kim. Kim has been living a normal life in Florida, but IMO, I think she is extremely unhappy. Every time we saw Kim with her new friends or at work, she looks so unhappy. I bet that’s why she wanted to volunteer with legal services, I think she missed it. I was reminded that Vince Gilligan worked on The X-Files, so of course BB and BCS would be great.

Tara

in regards to his confession and the 86 year sentence when he had bargained for 7... it makes me think of two things. jimmy was jimmy, but besides him and what he cared about personally, he cared about Kim and ultimately Chuck. I think the confession was to protect Kim and to suffer the way that Chuck did because of what Jimmy did. He loved his brother and would follow him down to the ends of the earth in the end.

Robert

Loved the ride with BCS. A great series and like u said, it shows the entire picture of Saul and where he came from. Hope u continue with another great series, hopefully Ozark. It's a good one.

David Cansler

Yeah dude, the universe ain't perfect. It was a bad hand for everyone, but Jimmy owned up to it. As for Kim's potential lawsuit, there's nothing to be done. Kim took responsibility. Jimmy took responsibility. Now, time for consequences

Kyle Turman

The middle all the way up to S6E12 I was loving this series. But the finale was disappointing to me. In the end Jimmy still screwed people over ( poor unsuspecting Bill), lied to people, and for what? He didn't have some grand character change. And he didn't even save Kim from being sued by Howard's widow. I said the extra stuff about Kim, just to get her to come to the court to hear him say all that stuff. And Jimmy just didn't have the type of character to go from 7 years and possibly getting his freedom before he died to screwing himself over and getting life in prison, for what, just to show Kim that he could admit to all the wrong he's done?

Tamika

regarding jimmys obsession for money... i think its maybe part of the way his mind works. his mind works to scam people, which the end result is getting money, so the scam and jimmy are one. its the only way he can see things. so when mike asks him that's it, money? its like he doesnt understand thats who jimmy is, and he had a hard time himself reconciling societys expectations with who he really is- a criminal.

Robert

loved watching this show with you guys it has been such a great ride!! <3 my vote for a show on the poll is Ozark and i think many others will agree!

OhBxnny

Hi Asia and BJ, now that you have finished BCS, you should watch the Breaking Bad/ Better Call Saul Reunion with the cast from both shows. The actor who plays Mike got emotional and it was so moving. It would be great if you would react to it. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/96n08GFBe3c?si=-_z-hFUX_95ZPvYt

Tara

I was so excited after watching E12 with yall that I went ahead and watched the finale right after. I can't wait to see your reactions and here what you think about it at the end.

Tamika

Is this the end y'all ? I'm so excited to get a show I can watch BCS. Seems like it's been going on for so long. Wonder if they will do a poll for the next show or just surprise us.

Rio Mendoza

As Saul once said to Francesca; "What a ride..." Glad we had this journey together ya'll ❤

Kyle Turman

Here we go!

Evan West
