2023-12-14 18:54:02 +0000 UTCThe 1 thing the Salamanca's had in common.. they all underestimated Gus. Even in this episode the way Lalo was describing Gus to Jimmy & Kim "he's a house cat." Hector and Lalo were smart enough to know Gus was up to something, they just did realize how smart Gus is, and how he plans for every outcome.

It’s 100% their fault for what happened to him. It’s one thing to ruin his reputation, but the fact that they got him killed… DAMN.

2023-12-07 08:26:50 +0000 UTCjust a quick clarification, the stuff that jimmy put on the photos was the stuff that he got from the vet that said it would feel like i really bad caffeine high an dilates your pupils which was why Howard was so sweaty and his eyes were going all wild during the meeting. but damn RIP Howard, you start of the show not liking the guy at all then by the end you cant help but feeling bad for him and his home life. I remember when i first saw episode 7 the ending had me floored and i just sat there for about 10 minutes like wtf just happened. Also love the tension that is throughout the entirety of episode 8. Amazing story telling

2023-12-07 06:50:57 +0000 UTCAt the end of Episode 7, when Lalo is still in the gutter thinking of what to do, he sees a cockroach that runs past him — that reminded him of Jimmy, who he described as a cockroach to Kim when she came to the jail to find out where Lalo had sent Jimmy to pick up his bail money. Lalo said Jimmy was like a cockroach who will survive anything. That’s when he realizes he can use Jimmy to help in his plan to get to Gus.

Jimmy was collecting Oscar voting movie ballots also. There was a quick scene where Jimmy commented on someone voting for the movie “Howard’s End “ all across the board. Another brilliant Vince Gilligan foreshadowing which preceded Howard’s post Chuck’ s death demise yet also his actual end in season 6, episode 7 yo.

No way eith Kim or Jimmy could have expected Howard and Lalo to show up at their apartment within the same 5 min timeframe. But yes in the end without their shenanigans Howard would be alive.

In this one, Gus knows exactly what Lalo is up to once Kim says that Jimmy talked him out of sending him to kill Gus. Gus knew nobody can talk Lalo out of anything, the whole assassination attempt was a diversion to get Gus’ security out of the laundry place, that is where Lalo must be. At the laundry place, Lalo could have killed Gustavo at any time after he opened the door to the meth lab. Gus knows Lalo’s weakness is to show off so he goes on the rant about how he hates Eladio and the Salamancas to buy time to get close the gun he planted. Shuts the lights off and shoots. Genius. 50/50 chance shooting in the dark and he knew Mike and crew would be there any minute.

Also interesting trivia, the intro beach scene of “Point and Shoot” was the only scene in BB or BCS that was ever filmed outside of New Mexico. Even that snowy cabin Walt ended up in at the end of BB was in New Mexico. But they had to find somewhere with a beach some they filmed that scene in California.

Even Mike is disgusted with them. That last scene with Mike staring at Lalo & Howard about to be buried under the freaking lab of all places, is so tragic. Just the look in Mike’s eyes cause he knows how heavy this situation is. Howard deserved so much better. Rest in peace, Howard, our favorite square of a man, good ol’ Howie.

As much as you dislike Howard in the beginning of the show, he grows on you and you come to realize he isn’t a bad guy, at all. He’s a good guy with a good head on his shoulders who didn’t deserve any of the stuff they were doing to him. If it wasn’t for Saul and Kim pulling their scams, Howard would no doubt still be alive.

Now framed to look like he ended his own life while he’s actually buried in the lab next to Lalo. With Walter and Jesse walking over them without even knowing. The best of humanity laid to rest next to the worst of humanity. I was telling you earlier I felt bad for Howard now you know why….god damn tragedy😔😔😔. I have to add that I love how Kim parked where Walter did both there to kill Gus but she actually got to the door and got pushed in where Walter was stopped in the middle of the street. But now you know why Saul feared Lalo in BB blaming Ignacio when he was taken to the desert by Walt and Jesse.
