The one with the demon behind the dad is an all time classic jump scare now and glad it got Asia at least! BJ you were really into this one and its story! If you pause at 45:09 of the reaction you'll see the little Victorian boy stading in the corner, that always creeped me out! James Wan's, the director (did Saw, Conjuring, Dead Silence & Insidious), films have all gotten great reaction from you two! The dad in this movie is also Ed Warren from the Conjuring movies and the ghost hunter actor in this with the glasses played Adam in "Saw" (the photographer chained in the bathroom), he also wrote Saw and Insidious! Before end of spooky season please watch "Blair Witch Project" (1999) !! It's a classic and I'm sure you heard about it when it was released as it was infamous at the time!

I watched this earlier, and during one of the jump scare scenes I jumped and screamed and fumbled my phone on the floor, which startled both of my cats, causing them to Looney Tunes scrabble across the floor into the kitchen, where one of them crashed into the wall, knocking into their water fountain thing which got him all wet and freaked them both out further, the other one jumped on top of the fridge, knocking down a couple baking sheets, causing deafening noise. All of this happened in like five seconds. If there was a lesson I learned, it's not to look at my phone while watching these movies. Just wanted to share.

The whole story is kind of a soft remake of Poltergeist if you think about it, but even so it’s a solid horror movie and one of the few good PG-13 ones. The second one is a little weirder but more original in my opinion so I ended up liking it more. Personally, I’d love if you did Chapter 2 as soon as possible since it concludes this story from part 1, and then just call it good on the series. None of the rest were really worth watching to me.

2023-10-19 00:22:01 +0000 UTCThey do use mics. I've noticed them down near where the audio mixer is at the bottom of the screen. They look pretty big like a shore type podcast mic. That said I do watch on my TV so I have no issues hearing both the movie and their commentary.

I turn it up to hear you guys talk during the movie because I love the commentary but then something happens in the movie and I almost go deaf. Lol

Seems like they rely more and more on jump scares for the "horror" element instead of actually just bringing the horror to the table. That being said, can't wait to dive in ✌❤ fam!
