after Arthur went to his own house and told his family to give him all their money etc and he found dexters address, around the same time rita came back home to grab her ID - she became new bathtub victim - while Dexter thinking shes on her way to honeymoon spot - then Arthur picks up his car in a GREAT mood, then when arthur is on the table - arthur even tells Dexter... "its already over."

Rita's death has to be one of the most shocking moments I experienced while watching a TV show. Even in GOT there are many shocking moments, but this one really hit me in my gut. I'll never forget it and when I recommend Dexter for people to watch I am thinking of this exact moment!

I'm as stunned as I was the first time around!! Exceptional writing, acting, producing, and directing. Period.
