Let me put it this way. In the Early 2000’s they made two movies. Exorcist: The Beginning, and Exorcist Dominion. Both starred Stellen Skarsgard portraying a young Father Merrin in North Africa where he first encounters the Pazuzu and in another one I think it’s actually Lucifer that manifests. BUT, they are the same movie, with the same basic plot, with most of all the same actors, when you break it down. And they did it for the same reasons as Rami. They got more money. Now, I think they should see all three of them, but not back to back. If they can only do two for now, it should be Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. 🤷‍♂️ they aren’t going to relegate three spots in their spooktober. Even if they can only do one, it’s should be 2. It’s the better one.

This is my fave movie genre, so I have a pretty long list of movies that I like within it. Babadook is solid, it's not at the top of my list, but I would recommend it. I like all the metaphors and symbolism for grief. It's a fairly clever movie if people take the time to consider more about it than what is on the surface.

I think the problem with the descent is that it is an independent European film that wasn't pushed very hard in the states. No, not a lot of people have watched it. But it is a masterpiece in horror. It's a shame more people haven't watched it

I'm a horror movie fan and I have seen all of these movies. Paranormal activity and the Decent are two of my favorites. Hereditary is downright disturbing, I'm not sure Asia will recover from that one 😅

It is and it isn’t. 1 and 2 are the same movie. Same plot same characters. 2 is made as if 1 never existed. They got more money so they just redid the story and added extra goodness. I think it’s pretty unlikely they’ll watch them all if they start with 1. And 1 doesn’t lead into Army of Darkness.

I think if you’re doing evil dead, you should start with Evil Dead 2. Even though the first one is a modern masterpiece of low budget possibilities, the second one is a remake of the first one with the same story and a little bit better budget, and it leads into Army of Darkness. It’s just a better movie.🤷‍♂️

Would LOVE to watch you guys see a black and white 1960s film. It's soooo good. Evil Dead 1981 is a top-tier horror comedy and a must see eventually. And Evil Dead II really takes it over the top. I'm sure Hereditary will win since it's most recent. I have mixed feelings about it, but I will say that it f'ed me up for a good week or so. Which is a hard thing to do with movies these days where they just stick with you. Forgot Paranormal Activity. Supernatural popcorn movie. Not my thing, but I see how it could win.
