R.I.P. Gene Hackman (Little Bill)

Eamonn Locke

Morgan Freeman is in this too!? It's been a good day!

Dan Gonya

Okay, I'm clearly on a Clint Eastwood kick right now. I watched Million Dollar Baby, then Gran Torino, so this was my inevitable destination...the only place I can go from here might be Back to the Future III πŸ˜‚

Dan Gonya

He said β€œHe should have armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend”. Ooooh

Carol Rocha

It's a hard life our ancestors endured... settling the West. A harder life for their ancestors making their way to the East. Makes one appreciate our luxurious life here in the 21st century where everything we need can be bought in store, out money made online, and you don't have to fall in hog manure to enjoy it. Eastwood is a master at showing the difficulties we endure to stay alive and struggle forward. A theme consistent in most of his movies.

tempest

Great reaction! If you enjoyed this one, then I highly recommend Clint Eastwood's earlier westerns that made him famous for his "man with no name" character. I would recommend starting with The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, and For a Few Dollars More. The order is widely debatable for these but there are clues in the movies that follow through from one to another that makes this make the most sense, despite when they were released. Other great westerns of his where it is not the same character are Hang 'Em High and High Plains Drifter.

Chris Marrero

This is the greatest western of all time

3BeerThunder

Good movie. Was not familiar with it at all. Big fan of the old Clint Eastwood movies.

Dan Gershgol

English Bob was the same actor that played Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter movies.

Ludwvin Martinez

Definitely check out Yellowstone! Pleeeeze!

Debbie Green

Thank you Dee for watching this one with us! This was a really good western movie.

Asia and BJ

I enjoy your reactions! Ned left because he didnt want any part of killing people anymore

Kate Zobel

This is a great western. You should try Deadwood (HBO 3 season) or the TV series Justified. Justified is like a modern day wester to me with a US Marshall.

Tracy Smith

I love a great western and this is one of them...a few more that are really good are In A Valley of Violence w/Ethan Hawke and John Travolta,The Quick and the Dead w/Sharon Stone and Leonardo Dicaprio(and also Gene Hackman, who played Little Bill in this movie) 3:10 to Yuma and of course my Young Guns 1 & 2.

Dee Lawson

it wasn't 3 tombstones if you go back it was a tree stump and a rock

Mike West

Isn’t it funny how a movie can take your breath away? Cheers.

Mike Martinez

I must say you all are very cool people and im so glad to be here with you all its fun seeing what films you like and i hope you get A&B to react to them. Its a pleasure chatting with most of you about all this stuff. Hope to do it more often.

Rio Mendoza

What exactly are you doing here if you hate everyone so much?? All you do is start crap with people most of your comments get deleted cause you arent like the rest of us here having a good time talking to each other. You can do that on youtube for free all you want man you dont have to pay to come and do it here. Is this really all you ever have to offer this community ?? What exactly do you want from this experience here on Patreon with all of us? Please i would like to know maybe we can help provide it for you.

Rio Mendoza

That's why i live by the term "it's only a movie" which many people fail to realize. now pls shut up already huh? I seen you argue with many people here thinking you're some smart ass at the end of the day you're paying to watch people watch something bruh lol because you're just as lonely as the rest of us lol

𝓙𝓸𝓼𝓱𝔂𝓦π“ͺ𝓷𝓽𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓰𝔂

I didn't need the conversation πŸ˜‚ YOU needed it since you cared to reply lol & no dude... "terms of the film" doesn't justify whatever you just said previously πŸ˜‚

𝓙𝓸𝓼𝓱𝔂𝓦π“ͺ𝓷𝓽𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓰𝔂

If we are going to have this kind of conversation you need to decide weather you want to base it on reality or fiction. Im talking in terms of the film you are mixing things up. It means different things in either or but you cant combined them to make your ultimate point. Anyway have a wonderful day. Hope you mood improves. Have fun

Rio Mendoza

I couldnt get into Dexter and BCS was only watchable once for me it was way to slow and i mostly didnt care about "Jimmy" for me it didnt get good till the last 2 seasons. But that doesnt meant it isnt great or one of the best shows. Just my opinion. Glad you are having fun watching it im waiting around with only films to watch so i cant wait for those shows to end lol

Rio Mendoza

The kid was a punk someone had to die for him to learn a life lesson ? In the end his character was needed for the story but that doesn't change he was a punk. And its a western i think we all expect there to be some violence in a western.

Rio Mendoza

Welcome to Clint Eastwood the toughest son o'bitch in the west, but don't worry he ain't like that no more! Should absolute do The Good the Bad and the Ugly, it's really good.

Michael Paddon

𝓙𝓸𝓼𝓱𝔂𝓦π“ͺ𝓷𝓽𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓰𝔂

Great movie! If you do another western, 'Open Range' is a good one. It stars Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves, Yellowstone) and Robert Duvall (The Godfather, Falling Down)

Eamonn Locke

You guys need to watch Clint Eastwood's movie The Outlaw Josey wales

joseph buckley

Left broken, and never wanting to see a movie in public

Will Zamora

If his intention is heartbreak, he made the most effective movie.

Will Zamora

I think you mean Million Dollar Bummer lol. Its good but man what a brutal film.

Rio Mendoza

Clint Eastwood win several top notch awards for The Unforgiven. Brilliantly made.

Stacey Capito

Million Dollar Baby is my favorite by Eastwood

Stacey Capito

Good recommendation

Stacey Capito

Great recommendations

Stacey Capito

Stacey Capito

HipCat57

1 of my all time faves. But wow guys been asking for Outlaw Jose Wales this wasn't even on a poll. Im not going to complain about this movie its a all time great but wow very suprised

HipCat57

OMG! one of my most favorite Westerns Ever!!! bugvswinsheild here. My top best Western THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALENCE with john Wayne, James Stewart, Lee Marvin and many others. It in black and white AND!!!! Is considered the FIRST anti HERO ! Movie ever !!!

jason

You're reading too much into Ned handing his gun over and not continuing. He didn't have it in him anymore to kill.

Jesse McAdams

BJ has a great memory. Richard Harris did play the king who was killed in the beginning of Gladiator. Regarding this movie, it was not uncommon to display criminals who had been killed/hanged in coffins in the middle of town. A rather macabre practice, but I suppose the local sheriff figured it was an effective sign to prevent violence.

Rose Dallman

I love this movie. Thanks for watching it with us!

Dustin

So happy you watched this movie!! For October please watch, β€œThe Cell,” with Jennifer Lopez!!!

David Croft-Ogawa

If you watch it make sure to watch the extended version

Grushdeva

It's so cool how Clint Eastwood's career was so defined by the western. When he got up there in age, and for his directing, he kept the western theme he was known for but stripped away all of the false nature of older westerns -- the ones he starred in included. The honor is complicated in this movie, the justice is sometimes unjust, and the attention to detail on costumes, set design, and cinematography is just way more developed than anything up until that point. And this was all done by Clint -- a guy who used to be just a cowboy - action heartthrob.

Potato Jones

Deserve has nothing to do with it.

Will Zamora

Side note, little Bill , might have his name because of his Johnson, so he was lenient on the cowboys who cut up the woman.

Will Zamora

Thank y’all for this reaction video. Love Unforgiven . Wish y’all watch another Eastwood movie called Million Dollar Baby.

Will Zamora

English Bob was Richard Harris who also played Dumbledore in the first Harry Potter movie. He passed away before the second one was filmed and was replaced by Michael Gambon. Both Irish and not English.

Mr Jackpots

All Clint Eastwood's Westerns have common themes that bind them together. You should watch all of them. The Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider, High Plains Drifter in particular. The scene I love the most in this one is his warning to the town just before he leaves. The American flag is in the frame behind him. That is no accident, and is the most iconic representation of the American spirit I've ever seen. Do right or we'll be back to visit total destruction on you.

Mr Jackpots

One of my favorite Clint Eastwood movies. He originally started in the TV series "Rawhide," and stayed in the western-themed genre for a long time. After buying book rights, he moved into other themes for blockbuster films like Jersey Boys, American Sniper, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Bridges of Madison County, Absolute Power, etc. Two of my favorites are early films from 1972 Play Misty For Me, and Dirty Harry. Of note in this film, the British guy on the train, black hat, is Richard Harris. He was the original Dumbledore.

Rose Dallman

Agree. Mr. Eastwood's' "later" westerns were richer storylines and better scripts. Not the original "spaghetti westerns" made in Italy. As he matured into acting/directing/producing and was wise enough to buy story rights to books and such. Reese Witherspoon does the same thing and has made millions in films because of it.

Rose Dallman

Also not a huge fan of westerns, but this is honestly one of the best movies ever, Western or not.

Dustin

They were hard men, with really cool hats!

Mr Jackpots

Agreed.

Dustin

Quentin Tarentino's The Hateful 8 is a great western with Samuel L Jackson

Davey

Even as an Englishman, Bob was looking for a good hiding.

Rich

Hope you guys will consider The Outlaw Josey Wales. My favorite Clint western next to this one.

Kyndu

It won four Oscars. It is a masterpiece.

Rio Mendoza

This is such a masterpiece. I believe it won Oscar Awards Best Picture that year... ive mentioned it before, but if you're into good western stuff Hell on Wheels is a pretty great show.

Robert

I've seen Purgatory and Tombstone and a few others. I can enjoy westerns. I wouldn't watch any John Wayne movies though. I personally don't respect him and his treatment towards Native Americans and what he did at the 1973 Oscars is horrible.

Rebecca Karsner

He was rumored to have went to San Francisco with the kids. The last scene before the credits start. Eastwood is known for using natural light, shadows and darkness which makes the scenes more authentic. Great movie and reaction. Loved it!!

Dan63

People often think western movies won't be something they enjoy, but some of them are great. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood did some truly epic films of a tough time that bred tougher men (and women). You can do a lot worse than Google a list of their best films and watch them.

Michael Paddon

Love this movie, but you definitely need to go back and watch High Plains drifter next month.πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

Carl πŸ‰

I'm here for it. As someone who didn't quite get into Clint's early "spaghetti westerns" this one actually had me engrossed. That says something. Thanks A & B, let's watch! 😊

Renee S

I can't say I've ever been much of a western person when it comes to movies, but I enjoyed this one. You might truly enjoy :)

Renee S

Never seen this!! Gotta watch tonight after I'm done with all my errands.. 😭 For as many movies as I've seen, I have not watched a lot of westerns πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Anyways I hope you guys have a great weekend 😁

Rebecca Karsner

Oh yeah, Sat & Sun westerns.. if it wasn't football season, this my go to genre on the weekends!! "Yeah I know, prototypical American guy.. football & westerns.. lol.." Ain't watched your reaction yet, but I'll check y'all out little later after the Colorado game.. Prime got that program playn' real nice right now.. Oregon got that dog mentality today though.. Two other really good western remakes to check out.. "3:10 to Yuma" '07 and "True Grit" '10.. Thanks BJ & Asia..

PastaDon

BJ , sounds like my dad also. Everyday its either Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Raw Hide , or Big Valley. And the older I get...the more I enjoy them also

JJ Carlisle

One of the best westerns ever. I once heard someone describe it as being like a Sunday pot roast (admittedly an odd comparison but bear with me) in that it simmers for a long time and then you are left with just a beautiful, completely fulfilling meal of a film. Clint Eastwood wrote the score for Claudia's theme that opens and closes the film and (when it was filmed) the red headed woman named Alice was his real life girlfriend - he's often had his real life women in his films. Another great western (that's actually a remake) is 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe from Gladiator and Christian Bale from the Batman Films.

Mary Merry Berry

Great surprise for us today. Thanks guys. I'm having a lazy Saturday so this is perfect

JJ Carlisle

And the hits just keep coming. This is my favorite western of all time. This movie is absolutely insane and the performances in It are amazing! I'm so glad you guys watched this! Thank you thank you thank you
