Better Call Saul S2. E1 and E2

Better Call Saul S2. E1 and E2

Comments

that financial guy in the bar was in S1 of BB. He talked smack in the bank while Walt was waiting. Later Walt messed with his battery a the gas station.

tempest

BJ is right across the board. Good memory for details!

Dan Gonya

If he really had a 1952 Mickey Mantle Topps Rookie card, that really is irreplaceable. One just sold for 12.5 million. It's only the most valuable card ever 🤣🤣

Josh

38:39...1 of the cops that visited the idiot about his baseball cards was in Breaking Bad. When Skylar kicked Walt out of the house, then he refused to leave, and then she called the cops to have him removed

Josh

I feel you Asia, you are picking up on the questionable Chuck vibes. Why is he so interested in how Jimmy is performing? Why does it bother him so much that Jimmy is “at the table” now in these big meetings? Why would anyone give Jimmy so much input on this case? Just watch and see. The real Chuck will reveal himself. This show is a slow build to what you want to see. Just enjoy the characters and the intricate writing. It’s a lot more fun if you take what they give you instead of expecting the big reveal this early in the show. It’s 6 seasons for a reason.

Cindy Beach

I struggled to get through the first season bc of the pace of the show. I made a second attempt to watch again not to long ago, season 2 had me hooked. It gets better.

Stacey Capito

The one cop that was investigating the break in is the same cop from Breaking Bad yo. He was the one that was talking to Skyler at Mr. White’s house when she called the cops on him because he wouldn’t leave. He was the one saying they can’t arrest a man for breaking into his own house and needed Sky to give him something they could use to arrest him. She didn’t. Big mistake yo.

Jesse

Remember that license plate yo. “Ken Wins” from Breaking Bad. Same actor playing the loud @hole always on his Bluetooth. This time “Ken Lost”…..B#tch!!!

Jesse

Yep. His license plate Ken Wins. But this time Ken Lost. Haha.

Jesse

nope

Robert

Now you must watch spinal tap!

Christopher Smelser

you mean like Bourne on the Fourth of July with Tom Cruise and Natural Bourne Killers with Woody Harrelson, yeah those are some of my absolute favorite movies too

CS

Have you done the Bourne Movies yet? If not, I think they would be enjoyable. They are my favorites.

Robert

In the episode titled Switch, when we finally get to the finale scene where Jimmy is messing with the light switch and nothing happens. This is foreshadowing. I will stop it right here, but it is something significant about Jimmy. From the peeling of something that "warns" not to flip the switch, and him doing it anyway, to knowing that anyone who managed to get something as big as a job on track to partner with Davis & Main, would most likely not even attempt something like that. It's like an itch that needs to be scratched, or seeing something you are not supposed to do and doing it anyway because... "the universe cannot contain you" so to speak. Also great memory BJ you are spot on.

Clockwork360

The Black/White scenes are after Breaking Bad.

Chuck thinks Jimmy is trash and not a real lawyer. . He did everything he could to keep Jimmy from succeeding in a legitimate and respectable law firm. So when he heard that Jimmy had been hired with first rate benefits on track to make partner and that he is doing well and an invaluable part of the firm, Chuck started coming to the office to "oversee" the case and throw obstacles in his way Chuck wants him to fail on this very lucrative case so he can show everyone that he was right, that "slipping Jimmy" is a conman, not a real attorney like he is. He's jealous of Jimmy's charisma and likeability. It's a severe and toxic case of sibling rivalry, only, in this case, it's the older more traditionally successful one that feels the need to be better than his brother. Jimmy isn't jealous or envious of Chuck, he just loves his brother, looks up to him, and wants more than anything to make him proud! Chuck is an ASS! Not only does he NOT help Jimmy get established as an attorney, but he goes out of his way to sabotage Jimmy and his career !

What kind of dealership puts flame graphics and spinners on a lease?

Grushdeva

Im loving your guys reaction to this so much! And im happy you noticed Ken Wins (The guy they scammed) and the Tequila bottle are call backs to Breaking Bad! Some of the call backs are very noticeable, others easier to miss, and some are super deep cuts haha but they always make the ones important to the story easy to catch. Cant wait for more!

Daniel

Yooo!! How many you got.? I’ll take all of them off your hands!! Lol

Asia and BJ

The Squat Cobbler video extra - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIh5_Ian8Ds

Deano_Deano

Remember, Saul fled through the vaccuum service guy to change his identity in BB. The black and white scenes are after identity change post BB :D

Robert

YES…Season two mofos !!! This is like starting to get real good yo. Asia and BJ you don’t miss a beat. Mad props. ⬆️☮️💙

Jesse

LMAO fr I seen these shows twice each and I didnt even remember that

vceisdead

That was Ken-Walter fried his Mercedes

David Brown

which is why didn’t open the door, it would sound the alarm and the cops would come and Saul is a wanted man by the FBI. One thing to know about BCS is that the different color shadings, from sunny to bluish to black and white all mean different time periods.

Bill B.

BJ good memory! That is the same kind of Tequila in Breaking Bad that Gus poisoned to kill all of the cartel members at the pool. Better call Saul is full of little callbacks to BB.

Bill B.

Love that you guys caught that the dude they scammed in the bar is the same person that Walter messed up his car, i love how they throw in little hints like that throughout the show. And also yes that tequila was in Breaking Bad it was when Gus went down to mexico and gave it to the cartel boss Don Eladio and poisoned everyone with it

OhBxnny

Good catches BJ. Stay on the lookout for breaking bad Easter eggs throughout the entire show

Adam smith

BJ has a good memory. Walter blew the stock market guy's car up in Breaking Bad and Gustavo did indeed poison the cartel with that same tequila 😂

Davey

the financial advisor tequila fool is the same dude walt put the squeegee in his engine and blew it up . dude was a loud jerk at bank then at gas station.

Gary DeRosa

I'm not sure you guys are on it yet, but the working-at-Cinnabon scenes are current day scenes, aka post-Breaking Bad era. Walt is dead at this point and Saul is hiding out. There was the scene in BB where he's talking to Walt in the basement of that vacuum cleaner business guy that helps people disappear and Walt is trying to get Saul to help him, and Saul says "Hey, I'm a civilian. I'm not your lawyer anymore, I'm nobody's lawyer, the fun's over. From here on out, I'm mister low profile. Just another douchebag with a job and three pairs of Dockers. If I'm lucky, three months from now, best case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha." And that's where we're at now. So it's like a mixture of Saul's past history coming up, and current Saul after Breaking Bad.

CS

Welp, I never made it past first season with this show, not for dislike or disinterest, but the fact that there are so many series out there between all the channels and streaming services my house gets overwhelmed sometimes. Maybe I will find the error of our ways.

Andi Szilagyi

That story at the start lol bj prlly met saul

UnbreakableMark

Hey BJ , I got some Walkman's here for sale, $150, Job lot, They even rewind the tape for you when it gets to the end?

Hesketh

This is the season when I became hooked on this show, around episodes 4 and 5
