If you guys want to see another exceptional film with Robert DeNiro from around this same era, check out COP LAND, which stars Sylvester Stallone. It's another gripping, intense police/crime drama. Great reaction Asia & BJ! Thank u!

That entire sequence...when they step into the bank and that music kicks, for my money, the tension of that scene can go toe to toe with damn near anything in cinema. ***SPOILERS*** My read about the situation w/ the girl at the end - from the beginning, they made it clear that she was always very stressed about the relationship with her real father, like when she couldn't find her hair barrettes and started crying, and he was always disappointing her, not showing up, etc. When Vincent (Al Pacino) broke up with her mom at the end and moved out of the house and into the hotel room, she went there and cut herself to try and force him to have to stay together with her mom because he gave her the closest thing to a father that she ever had.

I think she just wanted him to be able to confide in her or lean on her a little (like most spouses) so that he wouldn’t hold it all in. Because she did say I just want to know what’s behind that grim look behind your face. He on the other hand was like I’m not going to share that kind of stuff with you. Too depressing. He didn’t want to bring his work home. I do agree with you that she wasn’t strong enough to handle it and a real B for the cheating.

I guess maybe I don't understand women who have to know everything that their significant other does at work. Probably because my husband has a career in the military so I am not able to know anything at all of what he does. Guess it takes a strong person to be with someone who is in the military or law enforcement. I dont know, it just bugged me every time she got upset with him. And don't get me started on her cheating on him..... NEWays, this is a great movie. I love all four movies that Robert De Niro has been in with Al Pacino....though I am not sure you can count Godfather Part 2 since they never actually filmed a scene together lol
