Every time I rewatch it I want for Derry not to die as if I don't know already what's coming. I loved how real the sibling bond felt between Derry and Trish. Derry made some dumb choices, but overall it was his heart of gold that ultimately led him to his death. After seeing what was in the church basement and being traumatized, it makes sense why Trish wasn't as terrified as him, she didn't have to see those bodies.

And yea the creeper wanted Darry because of what he saw in the bottom of the church. Once that fear set in it was a wrap but like y’all said they should have kept going and maybe they could have got away

A couple things, the body parts he eats, he consumes what he needs. If he needs a new pair of eyes, he eats that. If his leg is crushed, he eats a leg, etc. They said he ate so many hearts, his would never stop beating, meaning he's immune to death from that. And another thing they mentioned in the movie you may have missed, but will be important to know if you watch the 2nd movie (arguably better than the 1st one) is that he comes back every 23 years (in the spring) for just 23 days. That's why the couple the brother found in his lair underneath the old church had been mentioned to be missing for decades. He seemingly hibernates and only stays active for about 3 weeks every 23 years. All of this makes it hard for any case to be built against him, and it makes it very difficult for anyone to kill him. If he gets away, he'll eat & regenerate. And if you don't finish the job before those 23 days are up, he'll be gone again. An eternal monster that's extremely hard to kill because of his abilities. 👁️👁️

I want her to watch Silence of the Lambs 😃 although not really a scary movie…I think she’ll like it. She hasn’t seen the paranormal movies either ! Those scared me !! I gotta make her watch them !!

2023-07-22 19:50:58 +0000 UTCMy mom used to sing the Jeepers Creepers song to me when I was a kid. I never really thought about the lyrics until this movie came out. So incredibly creepy. Last year my 10 year old now 11 year old son and I started watching horror flicks. After a few basics like Child's Play, Nightmare on Elm Street and The Shining didn't phase him in the slightest. So it became a competition. To find a movie that legit scared him. We went thru so many. The Exorcist, Poltergeist, the Final Destination franchise, 13 Ghosts, House of a 1000 Corpses, Jeepers Creepers franchise, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blair Witch Project, Conjuring franchise, Megan, Scream, The Ring, Insidious, Joy Ride and I know there are many more that I can't think of right now. A couple of weeks ago we watched Paranormal Activity and that was the one that finally broke him and made him hide under the blanket. He has since watched the other 4 Paranormal Activity films and seems relatively unphased by any of the new horror flicks I've shown him. New challenge is to find a another one. I'm finding it a tad difficult tho as I want to stay away from hardcore gore as we've reluctantly watched a couple and he wasn't scared in the slightest plus he's only 11. Don't want to necessarily traumatize him, just scare him. 😂
