I thought Tony was putting Chris out of his misery cause he was really fucked up and wasn't likely to make it. Maybe that's just me trying to keep liking Tony.

Peyote induces a spiritual journey-- Tony has never been in touch with his inner self.

I think Tony killed Chris because if Chris's daughter was in the car, she would've died. That's why they showed Tony looking at the the tree branch that would've killed the baby in the car seat before he suffocated Chris & after.

I’m totally with you on this. I was so irked that Carm was at the door listening and then busted in with her two cents! Sometimes moms need to back off and let fathers be the one to comfort and teach their kids. Sons need their fathers for some “man advice”. A lot of women are control freaks and need to back off more, even if something isn’t done “your way.” And…. You don’t always have to make everything your business.

His frustration is visceral, also because instead of the sad clown, he is forced to hide his joy with a mask of sadness. He can never be himself, regardless of the circumstance. Unless that circumstance is some who-aah.

Get back in your hole! Lol I’m just playing, you’re doing a good job, Davey.

KyleV

You guys gotta do Superbad next!

Peter Ortiz

Why must you do this? Do me a favor -- don't answer. If you do, you won't be able to help yourself, and then you'll do harm.

Thomas Monk

Remind me not to invite Gary to watch anything :D

"I GET IT!!!" - Tony ... I've done Psychedelics before, and unless you've done them. It may be hard to understand how he gets it. Me? When Tony said that, I know what he meant LOLOL

Gary, stop.

Not sure if it's been said but peyote is a psychedelic cactus

Anytime someone just calls everything out for what it is, especially using the word Mafia, it’s a showstopper. Tony and Co. obfuscate so much, using words and justifications to avoid being honest with themselves. The therapist Carmela sees asks “The Mafia?” when she tells him Tony’s crimes are “organized in nature” and she breaks down crying. Meadow calls Tony “Mr. Mob Boss” and he becomes very dark and menacing towards her. Ralphie calls out Tony’s hypocrisy over his feelings for Pie-Oh-My when they hurt people for a living, Tony kills him. JT yells at Chris for being in the Mafia (ie an environment that will never allow him to reach any sort of peace) and Chris shoots him.

John Collins

Another time the use of music in this show is beautifully executed. As Tony and Christopher are driving down the road and Tony looks over at his nephew, he realizes something is off about him. Right at that moment, the song Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd, "I turned to look, but it was gone. I cannot put my finger on it now. The child is grown, the dream is gone". The potential Tony saw in Chris from earlier seasons is completely fleeted and he sees no reason to keep him under his wing, only to dispose of him like a dirty rag he had to carry in his back pocket for years. Monstrous.

Asia you cracked me up when you said Tony needs to go home. Haha. Don’t be too surprised about what Tony did. He almost killed Paulie just a few episodes ago. He’s killed his best friend and his cousin and almost smothered his mother. Christopher just shot that Hollywood guy like nothing. And now AJ is seeing what scum those idiots are he’s been hanging around with. The bottom line is they are ALL serious scumbags. No matter how much the show can humanize them sometimes or make you laugh with their charm or humor… they are lying, cheating, thieving, racist, abusive, manipulating, murderers. As always, love seeing your reactions and thoughts on the episode.

I didn’t find Tony’s actions surprising. When Chris was starting to drive erratically Tony just kept staring at him as he was realizing Chris was on drugs again. After the car flipped he had the golden opportunity to take care of the “Christopher situation” once and for all. He wanted to be able to depend on him, but time and time again he showed Tony he wasn’t up for the job. Having said that, they’re all a bunch of murderous sociopaths who have no compassion or consciences.

Tony's whole attitude after Chris's death — having to pretend to be sad while everyone else is in actual mourning, not being able to share or express his relief — is a complete reversal of his attitude in the first few seasons, his idea that he was the "sad clown" always having to put on a good show for his crew, laughing on the outside but crying on the inside. Melfi pointed out to him once that he was full of shit but he was dismissive as usual. Now he's at rock bottom deplorability and finally capable of embracing it.

mothafuckin god damn orange peel beef

Tony was close to nailing a really good response with AJ the first time until he learned Carm was listening. As a dude, I can get that -- you're already feeling weak with women, so having pops there to remind you you're good sits a lot better than mom. Learning mom was listening in shut off AJ instantly, and I feel that. Now instead of feeling a brotherhood with other men and feeling normal, he's feeling embarassed again by women.

Potato Jones

He definitely was one of the best voice actors for Superman! DC has a new series of animated movies dubbed "Tomorrowverse" (if you haven't seen yet) and Darren Criss (from Glee) is now voicing Superman and is doing well with it.

Andi Szilagyi

The AA friend Chrissy "took care of" is Tim Daly. Amongst his expansive resumé he voiced Superman in almost every cartoon/animated movie from the early 90s til recently. So if you were born in the 80s and watched Superman cartoons as you grew up Christopher just killed your Superman. Another random fact, til next time 😂✌

Darth Brooks

The actress that plays Christopher's wife is the same actress that plays Mrs Wheeler in Stranger Things

Davey

You should watch a movie called The Drop with James Gandolfini and Tom Hardy, it's a crime mobster movie. It's really good

Davey

Remember: Big Pussy got involved with the FBI because they had leverage on him for a heroin possession charge. The family requires absolute secrecy to work, and finding out the Chris is back with drugs again makes him a liability. The movie he made that was a little too based on a true story, the issues with Paulie, and other erratic behavior...Tony couldn't trust him anymore and had to make a decision.

CS

I got my chinese food, let me watch my violent criminal tv show now.

Robert

I swear it feels like they just started the show and here we are at the ending already. Can't wait to see what they will do next. After Dexter of course is that's what is still next.

Rio Mendoza
