Hey BJ didn't know if anyone notices but you will get a kick out of this. When Eddie was arrested and was in jail there was a skinny black guy leaning against the bars. The actor in the shot was Giancarlo Esposito also know as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad

My favorite Eddie Murphy movie. Great cast, script, direction. Among John Landis' best films (and that's saying a lot!).

I recognized Paul Gleason right away. He was the principal in the breakfast club. This movie is a classic comedy. Many great actors.

***SUGGESTION*** --> A League Of Their Own | It's a baseball movie with heart and comedy. One of Tom Hank's best performances, in my opinion.

I love this movie. And if you’re curious about what actually happened at the end of the movie, this is a pretty good explanation:

Might have been Jim Belushi you recognised due to him looking like John Belushi who was in the Blues Brothers you just watched. John by all accounts was meant to be in this, or that's the rumours, but he died before it. He was friends with Dan and so I think this is how it came about.

I didn't know if you guys noticed, but the policeman who found the "angel dust" was the same policeman in The Blues Brothers who had Jake's "soiled" condom. This film was directed by John Landis, who also directed "The Blues Brothers".

I don’t think this is the first Eddie Murphy movie they’ve seen. I think it’s just the first one they’ve reacted to. I imagine they have seen quite a few, but they hadn’t seen this one. Obviously, they won’t do reactions to movies they’ve already watched on their own (unless one of them hasn’t seen it yet).

The end when Winthorp and Billy Ray are at the exchange selling and buying shares of the OJ is very confusing. I had to Google that scene to understand it. It was very informative if u get the chance.

Just FYI, the music playing with the opening credits that you seemed to enjoy was the overture to Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro", which he composed in the late 1700's.

I’m surprised this is your first Eddie Murphy movie. You will have to watch 48 Hours and Beverly Hills Cop! Great flicks with Eddie. This is always a fun movie. Loved watching again with you both. Oh and Jim Belushi was playing the first guy in the gorilla costume during the train party. He wasn’t a big name yet but went on to more movies and TV shows. He is also John Belushi’s brother who was one of the Blues Brothers you watched not long ago.

Guy working at the pawn shop is legendary guitarist/singer Bo Diddley. He played a main role in the 50s in bringing about the transition from blues to rock and roll and influenced many artists, including Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, and Pink Floyd. There would be no George Thorogood without Bo yo. 🎸🎶

U two are killing it with the comedys the last two months. Thanx Asia and BJ.
Coneheads(1993) is now ur next one from Dan Aykroyd u have to watch. Another SNL skit that got turn into a movie.
As for Eddie Murphy I said in the Ace Ventura reaction, all of his movies are must watch. I grew up on The Nutty Professer(1996) and Dr. Doolittle(1998) movies. I'll also highly recommend Harlem Nights(1989) with Richard Pryor and Life(1999) with Martin Lawrence.

THIS IS AWESOME YO. I was thinking about you guys doing a reaction to this for awhile. I agree with Aurelio(above). My all time favorite comedy. (Warning: food spoiler below) I always fantasized my life would eventually match the ending scene. Mine turned out kinda different, like a paved paradise. And no lobster or cracked crab either. More like tuna fish with crack heads hanging around. There’s still time though. 🙏 “Looking good Asia,BJ and Fam!” ☮️💙 💵
