The Blues Brothers

Comments

Please checkout Blues brothers 2000

Paul Reinhardt

More than almost any band or song, this movie was one of my biggest inspirations for becoming a musician. Once I saw them playing behind that chicken wire, getting beer bottles thrown at them, I was hooked! Punk Rock baby!

Em Gomez

Such a good movie…Saturday Night Live was a staple in my house growing up, so when I see them I think of all the great Characters they played! ✌🏻☀️

Goldie Schooch

carrie Fisher was in Star Wars she was Princess Leia. You have to do The Blues Brothers 2000. Eryka Badu, BB King, Issaac Hayes and many more legends.

Janet Phillips

lol think Asia got a case of you white folks all look a like going on. lol (JK) Twiggy and Carrie fisher (yes, princess Leia) are not the same person. :)

Michael Paddon

All the police cars were bought cheap because they were going to the scrap yard anyway. Thats the reason why they were trashed for the movie. Thanks for doing this. One of my favorites. There is a part 2, blues brothers 2000.

Dan Gershgol

Now that you’ve watched the movie, you should see the first time the Blues Brothers were seen on Saturday Night LIve. https://youtu.be/FTWH1Fdkjow

Mike Martinez

Yep, you requested on blues reaction night. 💜

Stacey Capito

I enjoy these random classics you guys post a couple times a week. I've sat and watched the entirety of A Bronx Tale, Dumb and Dumber, Casino, The Waterboy, Lethal Weapon 2 and The Blues Brothers all in the last two months. Keep it up!

Mike the Ginger

I have been waiting for this one!!! So great of a movie/musical!!! Yes, Carrie Fischer was Princess Leia in Star Wars, Asia. Good catch! So glad you guys seemed to enjoy this one as much as I thought you would! The car (the new Bluesmobile) had a whole backstory that as cut from the movie due to time. The reason it can do all the wild and amazing things it does is because it was parked beneath some kind of hug electric substation or something, when in the garage every night. Gradually over time the constant exposure gave the car supernatural/super powers allowing it to do the stuff it does in some of the scenes still in the movie.

Chris Marrero

Love these classic movies... this was fun to watch with y'all❤️

Donna Bannister

Several members of he Blues brothers band are in reallife were members of Booker T And The MG's

The Blue Brothers and this movie are dear to my heart. They started as a skit on SNL in the 70's and I loved them. My parents took me to The Blue Brothers concert in 1979 (I was 10). So glad you enjoyed it. :)

Kristin Kanan

Ok but I cannot WAIT for y’all to start Stranger Things

Hannah Brown

It was a lot of fun watching such a great classic with the two of you! This insomniac thanks you!! ❤️🩵🤍

Julie A

More importantly did you get the fly?

shawn boyce

Oh my god I always forget how fun this movie is. My dad would always crack up at Ray Charles shooting at that kid trying to steal from his shop. Those car stunts were crazy!

Pink Martini AZ

This is my kind of musical! CLASSIC movie choice guys!

Sean Smith

one of my favorite comedies of all time.

jason

Hoping for "Hacksaw Ridge" in the future. One of the best war movies ever made and its directed by Mel Gibson

Josh

tyler farias

Carrie Fisher is Princess Leia :)

Just Me Chris

I admit, I got this from the Amazon Xray stuff, but during one of the shootings of the night scenes, John Belushi went missing during filming. Dan Akroyd noticed a light on in a house nearby and went to investigate. When he knocked, he got ready to explain who he was, that they were shooting a movie, and who he was looking for. When the homeowner answered, he smiled and said, "You must be looking for John Belushi." John had wandered into their home, asked them for a sandwich and a glass of milk, then crashed out on their couch for a nap. It prompted Akroyd to famously refer to Belushi as "Americas Guest".

TheGuy

That was fun! Such music, my oh my! Now, throw a little thing together with early SNL clips of Belushi and Akroyd, it will help you understand why we loved them so much! And, it was Star Wars, that was Leia.

TheGuy

I have been smiling from ear to ear watching this reaction. This is my FAVORITE movie of all time. I believe that I am the one who requested a reaction to John Lee Hooker which may be the reason you heard it before. I watched this when I was young which made me fall in love with rhythm and blues. This is the reason why I have my harmonica. It was a great reaction. PS: Carrie Fisher IS Princess Leia.

Sean G

I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. I hope watching this with us brings a little bit of comfort. ☺️♥️

Asia and BJ

Omg!! I was right!!!!! Thank you for confirming that! ❤️

Asia and BJ

Sopranos and a movie night tonight, gonna be a fun watch! Been forever since I have seen BB so time for a nostalgia trip with the fam!

Darth Brooks

I already have pictured in my mind when you both laugh hard and when you look in amazement at the over the top moments. Can't wait to see how correct I am.

JL Green

She looks like Princess Leia because she is Princess Leia! Also appearing was Richard Pryor in the Triple Rock Church choir, the girl waiting for Elwood was Twiggy a very famous English model at the time, guy giving Jake his stuff back in prison was Frank Oz the voice behind many of the Muppets and the voice of Yoda in the Star Wars movies, Chaka Khan in the church choir, the Eagles Joe Walsh as a prisoner, Mr. T in a street scene, Henry Gibson from the old Laugh-In show as the head Nazi, and many more. Part of the fun of this movie is seeing how many faces you recognize.

Mr Jackpots

Thank you for doing this. The Blue Brothers was my Dad's favorite movie of all time. He unfortunately passed away last year but I can always still hear him laughing when I watch this movie.

Nick Andress

Method man and Redman did a mini remake of the blues Brothers plot for Redman's "Whateva Man" music video The next Aykroyd flicks u should do is trading places(1983) Coneheads(1993) and The Great Outdoors(1988) I'll also suggest Doctor Detroit(1983), Nothing But Trouble(1991) and Driving Miss Daisy(1988) which is a morgan freeman movie but Aykroyd is featured

Lewsifer

My all-time favorite movie! I was really hoping you'd do this :)

John Spaw

Well, I know what I'll be doing tonight after dinner. I'm on a mission from God. 😎

Joanie Archetto

This movie has actually been on the bucket list for over 20 years. I've always heard great things about it. One of the lead actors, John Belushi actually passed away in the 80's from an overdose (RIP). Anyway, great review in advance. Also, 5 films that I really think y'all would enjoy reviewing would be: 1. True Romance with Christian Slater 2. Judgement Night with Emilio Estevez 3. Sugar Hill with Wesley Snipes 4. The Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis 5. The Client with Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones Y'all probably won't review any of them, but the suggestions are there. They're all 90's classics. Take Care...

No Name

Steven Spielberg was the tax guy at the end

Shaun2342!

YES……This is great classic. Thanks Asia, BJ and Fam. ☮️💙 And on another note, other than the blue one, where did you think Mr. White got his Heisenberg look from yo? 🎩😎 🎶

Jesse
