The Red Woman thought she had fulfilled what she was meant to do, and she was extremely depressed and guilt-ridden, over what she had done to Princess Shireen. She did a dispicable thing, but at least she felt remorse, for what she did...Still, burning a child alive...VILE.

Dawn only came, because the White Walkers lost, because the White Walkers also brought darkness, not only cold. That's why, it was also called, "The Battle For The Dawn".

The books are called, "A Song of Ice and Fire", and when that orange flame touches the blue flame...And, Jon is in the middle of both flames, that is exactly the words, that come to mind. I have had the books, for a long time. I have got to start reading them. I think the writers of the show, made up everything, that was after Season 4. It is really sad, that George R.R. Martin, isn't going to finish the books, because I would have thoroughly enjoyed, knowing how he would end this story.😢

If you decide to watch certain parts of the show again, because people tell you about the things you missed (Trust me, nobody catches everything on the first watch, of this show), get to the part about 7 seconds, before Arya kills the Night King...Then, just keep watching, and about 3 seconds, before Arya jumps on the Night King's back, you can see The White Walker's hair blow with the wind. It isn't just wind...Lol...It's the wind coming off of Arya, as she's soaring through the air...Arya has had some bomb training: Syrio, The Faceless Men, The Brotherhood Without Banners, The Hound, and dueling with Brienne. This right here, is what made me buy the T-Shirt, that says, "Arya"...Going through the middle of the shirt (Where the Air Jordan symbol should be), is Arya, jumping, with a dagger...And, on the bottom, it says, "NOT TODAY". I was watching an interview with Masie Williams (Arya), and she had a really rough childhood. Her Father molested her, and she forgave him, and tried to study, what makes peopke act that way. She just considered her Father, to have a Disease. And, when Bran, tells Theon, "You're a good man.), it gets me everytime. Theon went from being terrified, after the Ramsay ordeal, to charging the Night King. R.I.P., Theon, Ser Jorah, Lady Lyanna Mormont, Edd, Beric Dondarrion, All of The Dothraki, Many of The Unsullied, All of the Other People that fought for The Living, and Viserion (The Ice Dragon). Goodbye, Red Woman, The Night King, and all of the Wights...I don't wish to see you again.

I had to push "Pause", get a drink of my ice cold "Watermelon Mountain Dew", and hit my Nicotine Vape really quick, beacause oooohhh...I know what's coming, as the piano starts to play. The piano has only been played, in one other episode, and that was the Prelude, to The Great Sept of Baelor, getting blown up by Wildfire...Strap your seatbelts in, put your trays up, and breathe carefully...Don't let your nerves get you, because we are about to take off. I know you have already seen it, but it's the first time, I get to see your faces, reacting to what is about to happen. 🤯🫣🤩

That is why I said earlier, "Who's bright idea was it, to put the weakest people, in the freaking Crypt? Wow". I am just glad that they didn't bring Ned Stark or his Sister, Lyanna back to life, as a Wight. I would have felt some type of way, if their bodies, had been dishonored, like that. But, I read somewhere, that "Starks" have certain symbols, engraved on their tombs, to keep them from rising from the dead.

Aryra knows the Red Woman, because when her, Gendry, and Hot Pie were traveling with The "Brotherhood Without Banners" (Beric Dondarrion, Thoros of Myr, and Some others---I don't want to mention anymore names, in case you read the books), The Red Lady bought Gendry from The "Brotherhood Without Banners", because she needed "King's Blood", and they needed the money, so they could continue their good deeds, in the war effort. Arya hated all of them for that, because she considered Gendry, her Family.
Erin Black
2024-03-26 01:43:23 +0000 UTC
That is crazy: "The Lord of Light", brought Beric Dondarrion, back to life six times, just so he could help Arya get away from the Wights, during that brief moment...Just Like "The Red Woman", stayed alive for so long (406 years), just to help in that Battle...Reminds me of poor Hodor, living his entire life, just to "Hold The Door", for a few minutes.

There is zero chance, that they would have won this Battle, in the open field, with Whites rolling over them like a tidal wave. There is zero chance, that this Battle would have lasted longer than 5 minutes. Come on writers...You only had 7 characters die, and one was a Dragon, and one was the Night King...So, only 5 Main Characters died.
Erin Black
2024-03-25 19:53:17 +0000 UTC
Theon Greyjoy, definately jad the biggest Character Arc, out of anyone in the show. He went out, by charging the Night King, head on...Nobody else can say that...Well, Theon can't say that either, because he is dead, but you know what I mean.
Erin Black
2024-03-25 19:24:20 +0000 UTC
I know a lot of people died...Pretty much all of the Dothraki, Countless Unsullied, The Night King, The Red Woman (Melisandre), Theon Greyjoy, Lyanna Mormont, Ser Jorah Mormont, Lord Beric Dondarrion, Edd Tollett (a.k.a. Dolorous Edd), and Viserion (Dragon). But, considering how many White Walkers and Wights there were, it is ridiculous, that so many main characters lived, like: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Arya Stark, Bran Stark, Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister, The Hound (Sandor Clegane), Gendry, Davos Seaworth, Samwell Tarly, Gilly, Tormund Giantsbane, Podrick Payne, Grey Worm, Missandei, Drogon (Dragon), Rhaegal (Dragon), and Ghost (Direwolf).

THE WHITE WALKERS ALSO BROUGHT THE DARKNESS...That is one reason, that it was so dark...Another reason is: The writers wanted this Battle scene to be unique, because the same types of battles, just portray the others, time and time again.

Arya from day 1 has been my favorite and I believe Jon set her on her trajectory when he gave her needle. He was the Prince that was promised. He brought everyone together including Dany and her Dragons to fight this long night. His best sniper Arya took the Night King out.

The reason The Hound just stood there was the fire. He's feared it since his brother burned him.
My favourite comment about this episode back when it aired and the internet was losing their collective shit was, "Ummm, HBO, pay your electric bill, it's too damn dark." That had me laughing the rest of the night. It was definitely as bad as everyone said. We had to turn the brightness up on our TV to see anything at all.
Theon. Hands down best character arc of entire show. Loved it and yeah, I knocked a tear back when he died.
Lady Mormant. My hero. That's how I want to go. Screaming bloody murder while taking out the biggest mf'er out there.
Arya is still my fave just because ...Gentry. That's my girl.

Well look at it this way. Who better to kill the head zombie Night King than a death dealer assassin, faceless man disciple. It's ironic. It's like the God of Death, who Arya has literally said in past episodes, that is her God, killed him. In other words, maybe the Death God was getting tired of his wayward son, the Night King, and wanted to end him, on his own. Clearly the God of Death favored Arya that moment!

Very entertaining and thrilling episode, but I hated the writing. Completely disagree with the above commenter. Jon should've been the one to end the Night King, they've been building those two up inseperable for seasons, and there's no final showdown? Arya has zero connection to him so her being the one made no sense. Also, I thought they should've won this war and carried on South. They built up the white walkers for eight seasons only for them to be defeated on their first foray into the north.

Lets talk about how The Night King punked out on fighting Jon Snow one on one. He knew Jon had the power to defeat him with his Valyrian Steel sword, so the Night King rose the dead around him to block Jon from getting to him. Then he sent Viscerion the dragon after Jon to chase him around Winterfell to keep Jon from coming after him. What a little bitch the Night King was. lol

I was going to comment about that also. Ned’s sword ice defending Winterfell by Brienne and Jamie. Jorah used Heartsbane to save Sam twice also. He needed that Valyrian steel to defend Danerys at the end also. The cats paw dagger with its dragon bone handle and Valyrian blade Arya used.

Keep an eye out for the Starbucks cup in the next episode. If someone already said that then credit where it's due.
The director of this episode is the show runner for House of the Dragon. And you can see why with the statements made in by D&D in the inside the episode. "Pretty much the end of the dothraki." Type stuff. They already checked out & cashed in.

I will be calling the White Walkers the Grandpas going forward. I love that nickname for them.
This one is one of my favorite episodes, with Theon’s final moments really hitting me the most. What a turnaround. And Beric. He died all those times and was brought back simply to keep Arya alive long enough for her to kill the Night King.
The last thing that not a lot of people note is the scene on the walls of Winterfell where Jaime and Brienne are each wielding one half of Ned Stark’s sword in defense of Winterfell. It’s a great little touch.
I’m glad you liked the episode and didn’t have trouble with the lighting. I never thought it was that bad but I get why people do. (And boy is it a good thing Arya learned how to fight without her sight. Still hate The Waif though. LOL)

When this episode first aired, it was so dark we couldn’t tell who was fighting and who had survived. I remember having to wait for the next episode to find out. A lot of people complained on social media about how dark it was.
:::::SPOILERS BELOW:::::
When the Night King resurrected everyone, of course that also meant all the Stark family members who had been buried in the crypt
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) said that he was upset when he found out that he wasn’t going to kill the Night King. Emilia Clarke(Dany) said that the scene with Jorah dying wasn’t difficult for her to act because he’d been with her since S1 E1 and she was so sad to say goodbye the tears were real.
I really think Theon needed to hear Bran tell him that he was a good man before he charged
