He didn't hit her or even say anything nasty -- he just pulled a briefcase out. And then she throws the circular logic buzzsaw at him about not loving him enough -- just manipulating the poor guy. She's got a little of that Janice in her.

2023-06-01 03:34:34 +0000 UTCI've watched this show probably 12 or 13 times all the way through and I still, STILL pick up on new details every time I watch. Watching this reaction I just noticed at the anger management meeting that the first guy says his partner parked him in again, and then the second woman says "his roommate" should be in here for selfishness. That was a pretty common trope back in the 90s and early 2000s (and earlier), gay couples getting written off as roommates. Love this show.

I took it as Tony was jealous of how Janice was making progress and being rational and positive. Next scene, Tony rages on that poor guy. Then he realized he messed up that guys hearing and does not want Tony near him anymore. He couldnβt take it that Janice was doing good and being happy. It bugged him. So he became a nasty ass like his mother to make someone else miserable.
