Wait whaaaaaat? How tf did I, a diehard Potterhead, not know HBO was doing a full long-form series remake?! for some reason I mistakenly thought they were doing an expanded series for the very very last bit of Deathly Hallows...but this is WAYYYYYYY BETTER! I'm so excited...it'll be weird to see anyone else as Snape, though. Alan Rickman MADE that role. It'll be interesting to see how the new Snape chooses to interpret the role.

Definitely DO NOT stop right now!! The theme of Harry Potter gets darker with each movie. (As you guys saw with the difference between the first 2 films). There's 8 total (with the final chapter "Deathly Hallows" being split into 2 movies). They get much better as time goes on. Key thing to note for the 3rd movie is that going forward (and for the rest of the series), they have a different actor for Dumbledore because the actor who played him in the first 2 films passed away. Personally I think he's just as good. But definitely resume the series, we love it and you're nowhere near finished. It gets better as you go on and it definitely loses its childish theme as things get much more serious. EDIT: I realize that my comment has been posted 300 times already after having checked the other comments, but my point remains 😂 It has been awhile since you guys watched #2 so I hope you haven't forgotten about it. Also as a little joke, at the end Asia was picking on BJ for saying "Wizardry" but as it happens, that's actually the name of the school: "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry." You'll hear it said in full a few times throughout the series.

So many adlib lines in this movie. Draco's line saying he didn't know Crabb could read is an adlib he came up with in the moment. Lucius Malfoy adlibs several lines with Harry in the final scenes. The "one can only hope potter will be there to save teh day," and his reply, "don't worry I will be," was both actors adlib, as was Lucius's choice to use killing curse on Harry, as the actor could only remember that one at the time. Movies start to get darker slowly from next movie on. I always feel sorry for Colin every time I see him.

*No spoilers* It's been so fun watching along with you. I hope you'll continue. The first 2 are so sweet and fun but starting with the 3rd the story starts to morph and gets deeper and darker. The series had different directors at differnt times so the feel of them changes up and it's a really unique experience. Movies 1&2 had the same director. 3 has a different director. 4 is another and then 5-8 had one do them all. The actor who plays Dumbledore changes in the next movie because the actor in the first 2 passed away. Just a heads up as you go into the 3rd.

Most people who aren’t Harry Potter super fans, have a hard time getting through the first two Harry Potter movies, they have a very made for kids feel to them. But starting with the 3rd movie they feel less and less kiddish and be come a lot more mature and darker.

So the first thing about these movies is that you’re only getting about 65% of the story. To get the full story you have to read the books.And second unfortunately, this is the last we see of Richard Harris who played Dumbledore. He passed away shortly after this movie and was replaced by. Michael Gambon. Harris‘s betrayal of Dumbledore was warm and caring, while Gambon‘s betrayal of Dumbledore came across as more harsh and impatient. With that said, it was still a good movie series, and I am looking forward to HBO’s remake in which each book will be a season.

I say keep going. I think you will enjoy it. However, before you watch 3 know that starting with 3 a new actor plays Dumbledore because Richard Harris (the actor who played him in 1&2) passed away in real life after 2. I just didn’t want it to be confusing. These movies are so much fun!

I toured the Warner Bros. studio around 15 yrs. ago and they had a number of props from the Harry Potter movies, including the very realistic petrified Hermione from this one. I haven't been back, but I assume it's probably still there.

Yes, absolutely keep going with the series. It's amazing how fast these movies amp up starting with the next one, they just get exponentially better. Plus the kids grow and mature right before your eyes and by the end, you feel like you've known them their whole lives. Great reaction!

Definitely do keep going please - you're going to LOVE the next one! The guy who played Jim Gordon (The good cop who helped Bruce) in the Batman, Dark knight trilogy, Gary Oldman, is in it. But the cast keeps expanding from now on with some great characters. Crazy that Lucius Malfoy was about to do the killing curse on Harry at the end and Dobby saved him (properly lol) House elf's magics are stronger than you think and he truly loves Harry, despite how it looks. In the book he's in them more and you see it more. I love the Weasley family, Mrs Weasley the most, she's a true mama, to Harry too, but the dad cracks me up. Thank you both, and congrats on your Youtube 100k plaque - you deserve it for all you do :)

It was mentioned last movie that the actor who played Dumbledore, Richard Harris, died before this one was released So, the actor who will be Dumbledore from now on is Michael Gambon, who took a sterner approach in playing the character at some points but I like him all the same he's still whimsical like Harris was

Awesome! My favorite of the whole series! The reason for that is the same you loved this one so much: the detective story that ran through the plot what made it so memorable is that the culprit turned out to be someone nobody suspected, the person who everyone else thought was down for the count I enjoy puzzles so the mystery was a genius move by JK Rowling this part of the story also set up some really important parts of the OVERARCHING STORY so be sure to remember what you saw here and keep them in mind for later You absolutely need to keep going here! Don't bother asking whether you need to continue Watch the whole series! You have 6 more to go! Each movie gets darker from here since after year two, the students in Harry's year will become teenagers so the subject matter gets more serious
