The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

Comments

One of the best movies, makes me laugh everytime, glad you guys enjoyed! check out Jeff Bridges (the dude) in the movie Crazyheart- oscar nominated!

CD

The Dude Abides.

Bill Bliss

Checked this out tonight and laughed from start to finish , not seen it fully in twenty years or more . And even knowing what’s coming at the end I was crying watching you react to Donny’s ashes blowing in the dudes face . And Jesus , what a character he is !! Brilliant I actually think this is up their with Pulp fiction . If you want to see a great British Comedy with fantastic Music and a brilliant cast , check out ‘The Boat that Rocked ‘ Mr Lebowski’s assistant is in that as well . You’ll definitely laugh .

mark barratt

He was on Tombstone BJ. He played Virgil, the one who lost an arm. The actor is Sam Elliot.

James Boyd

The music in the film is top-notch. This reminiscence of Kraftwerk is so good. Maybe you could listen to a few songs by Kraftwerk. It's a German band that has shaped the international music scene like no other.

ImOnlyBleeding

Steve Buscemi is somehow in EVERYTHING. Lol. He’s a great actor.

Julie A

He stars in Boardwalk Empire, which is also an excellent series.

Cynthia M Farrington

You guys should check out some more Cohen Bros. movies. Fargo and Oh Brother Where Art Thou are great. Not sure if you guys have done No Country For Old Men, but that's worth a watch too.

Yo p, you’re getting this comment a ton but I’m going to say this again. Sam Elliot was in Tombstone! And I love you guys to death! You make my life better every day

Thomas Monti

i just cant imagine. Im glad there are people who figure out vaccines etc.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

LOL - Sam Elliot - the cowboy was in Tombstone. He was the Wyatt's older brother.

Jerry

OMG! Love that you did this. Havent even started to watch, but am so excited

Criimson

It is scheduled to drop Tuesday.

Asia and BJ

Hey guys. Where’s Game of Thrones?

Rosie Suarez

good movie

StatueOfGuyThinking

port huron statement is a real thing, just as when he mentions the seattle seven.

Superbowl champions

So glad you guys did this! One of my favorite movies. Fun fact, The cowboy is Sam Elliot and he is Wyatt’s brother Virgil in Tombstone.

Eric Warner

As of 2021 there was still a woman who used an iron lung at night. She came down with polio when she was 5 years old. Her name is Martha Lillard.

Julie A

This whole movie is a good advertisement for Master Lock

Karim

Fun fact- Poor Donny (Steve Buscemi) directed that fan favorite episode of The Sopranos where Chrissy and Paulie are lost in the woods! He also has a role on The Sopranos in the 5th season.

Julie A

MARK IT FUCKIN ZERO!!!! LMAO!! I love this flick! Was so excited to see it posted so I knew my evening would be good! ;)p And it did not fail to satisfy! Loved your reaction. After the ashes when Asia couldnt stop laughin ...too much. I was dyin. Thnx again y'all! Til next time!

To help explain....the guys in the beginning came from Jackie (the movie producer) to the wrong Lebowski, to collect the money he was owed. Then the girl leaves town with friends, I assume she told the Germans so they sent the BIG Lebowski a ransom letter, and Big Lebowski decided to take the money from the foundation, keep it for himself hoping they would kill his wife (not knowing she left town), but then everything went nuts from there.

Chris Marrero

the vast majority of which were those afflicted with Polio. It weakens the muscles and i think i read that it was random which muscles it would affect, The iron lung was a modern miracle that saved many lives, although i dont know what demons youd meet laying there for 40 years or more, unable to move around or sit upright.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

The porn director (that drugged the dude) and bunny wanted to ransom bunny with the help of the nihilist germans, the Big lebowski hoped the ransom was real and wanted bunny to be killed so he could keep the ransom money.

SlavicGold

The man in the house was in an "iron lung" machine, a large horizontal cylinder designed to stimulate breathing in patients who have lost control of their respiratory muscles.

Mike the Ginger

I just came here to type that lol. As soon as BJ said it I'm like oh shit he was in tombstone haha

Rio Mendoza

The narrator was played by Sam Elliott, who was in Tombstone. He played Virgil Earp. Good ear!

Neely

I totally forgot dude mentions the Port Huron statement lol that's where I live Port Huron, Michigan. I don't think it's any real document or anything like that. I just think it's funny that he mentions my city

Rio Mendoza

Miller's Crossing was underrated & Barton Fink was too.

shawn boyce

Wasn't Sam Eliot in tombstone?

shawn boyce

I'd say yeah after Miller's Crossing

shawn boyce

The whole thing was, Bunny left without anyone knowing. Jackie treehorn sent the first two guys who soiled his rug, to look for Bunny because she owes Jackie something. The Germans took advantage of bunny being away to try and get money from a fake kidnapping, but because bunny was away they didn’t have her, so the German GF gave up her toe. The Big Lebowski took advantage of the situation to keep the money, and try and frame the dude, so he could keep the money. He didn’t care about bunny. Dude was right about that. No one in this triangle knew what the others were doing, and when bunny came back it all came crashing down. And dude was bouncing around in the middle.

Michael King

You can see when Donny bowls that last roll, he sits down and he winces at some pain and squeezes his right hand, foreshadowing what was about to happen.

Michael King

Hell yeah, I told them.

Michael King

Oh brother where art though? Anyone?

Justin Freeman

When the dude says to the bartender, “with friends like these…” he was using the common phrase “with friends like these, who needs enemies?” Which means what you were saying that Walter is doing more harm than an actual enemy would. And Donny? Well Donny is out of his element.

Michael King

Whoa! I didn’t know that. Great tidbit!

Travysaurus Rex

The man with the bushy mustache is Sam Elliot. He’s an icon. You should watch the series 1883. So freaking good!

Travysaurus Rex

The Dude

Jacqueline Hutcherson

chilling Anton.

StatueOfGuyThinking

Fargo and one of Jeff bridges earlier roles Hearts Of The West(1975) with the late Andy Griffith to check out

Lewsifer

Heyyyyoooo! The Dude Abides.

Travysaurus Rex

There she went with all her toes.

Cynthia M Farrington

'He should have been in Tombstone'... go back and look at the movie poster, cause Sam Elliot did play Wyatt's older brother Virgil in that movie haha

dabbingcannasseur

Recommending No Country for Old Men from the Coen Brothers.

PIG

“Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.” One of my favorite Coen Brothers films. Another is Raising Arizona which has a similar vibe. And then Fargo which is a bit darker. And an absolute must see - No Country for Old Men - which is a straight crime thriller and won Best Picture at the Oscars.

Miss Melissa

Feel free to continue on a Coen Brothers watch spree. 'Fargo' has to be done, and I've got a personal fondness for 'Burn After Reading'. But plenty of others are also worth checking out. Those 2 are great at making entertaining movies lol.

dabbingcannasseur

You’re entering a world of pain.

Cynthia M Farrington

I think the show with the guy dressed in leaves was the one the Dude’s landlord asked him to come to.

Cynthia M Farrington

Alright, you two, getting all flirty, lol. BJ looking Red Delicious and Asia looking Pretty in Pink 😄

Renee S

I just went and saw this in theaters last week for it's 20th anniversary. I'll watch it again for sure. Thanks for the upload.

Rio Mendoza

Oh, this is going to be GOOD. You guys should watch ‘Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?’ next.

Michael King

So the song just checked in to see what my condition my condition is in is Kenny Rogers with his psychedelic band from the 60’s

Jeff

Good stuff!! Funny thing that cowboy WAS in Tombstone! lol!

John G

You need to watch the music video that was done by Home Free about the bowling scene. It’s to the song, “This is how we roll” a cover of the song by Florida Georgia Line.

Cynthia M Farrington

Thank you for the upload! Great movie great cast

JessicaB

The Dude abides

Jeff

Watching this with 2 good friends.

Cynthia M Farrington

"Uli doesn't care about anything. He's a nihilist." "Oh, that must be exhausting" 😆

Jake Martin

🍿🍿Popcorn time! 🍿🍿

SilverDoe🎔

Yes!!! Very excited for this one, so funny 😆

Astrobuckshot

Wow, this is the first video that can actually be watched on Vimeo instead of being only on the Patreon page. I wish they were all like that because the Patreon player is not very good since it can only be 2 sizes - small or full screen. Any chance this will be how it is going forward or was it just a fluke?

PapaXan

Omg lol I love this movie

Elizabeth DeMerie

Poor Donny..he was just out of his element🤙

Flyin Hawaiian

Calmer than you are...

Flyin Hawaiian

I myself once dabbled in pacifism

Tim Connor

Finally one of my all time favorite movies

Jeff

Yay! I’ve always wanted to watch this, but never got around to it! 🩷

Julie A

Yessss. So many hilarious lines! Thank you for doing this one!
