My favorite kurt Russell film is Big trouble in little china

Chris Smith

You’ll get a kick out of John Carpenter’s Vampires

Karim

So fun! Been wanting you to see this since last Halloween. One of the best horror movies ever made. The looks on ya'll's faces was priceless. The effects were real too, no CGI in those days.

Ed Pawley

Vindication. Asia so hyped for so long after that ended. I said at the time the thing is a better suspence and paranoia horror than It, and this got to both of them. Also, every time I've seen this movie (first time too) I was like, "Kill the dog." Working dogs worth their weight in gold, so if two guys trying to kill one of their dogs, you'd best bet there is a reason.

Michael Paddon

One of my all time favourite horror movies! Really enjoyed watching it again!

Christopher Smelser

Kurt Russell has made some great suspenseful films. One of his best suspenseful films from the 90s, and one of my favorites, is BREAKDOWN, about a young couple driving in their car along an interstate highway, in unfamiliar territory. Soooo good! It’s currently streaming free on Amazon Prime. Highly recommend!

N M

Every time I see Wilford Brimley in a show or movie, I always turn to my husband and quote, “I’m all better now.”

Pink Martini AZ

John Carpenter's "Apocalypse Trilogy" (The Thing, Prince of Darkness, and In the Mouth of Madness) are absolutely incredible!! Less scary films would be 'Escape from New York' and 'Escape from LA' (both starring Kurt Russell too!!) solid films!!

Riley

Oh my someone just STUMBLED into a John Carpenter film, you were not prepared! No one is ever prepared lmao

Riley

The ending of it is the beginning of The Thing 1982

Michael King

My husband pointed out to me that The Thing has a lot in common with the Japanese anime 'Parasite".

Cynthia M Farrington

I wonder if Asia and BJ have seen the Guardian movies.

Cynthia M Farrington

And from what I understand the 2011 prequel takes place at the Norwegian's institution.

Duarte Dunn

Yep, as Ego.

Duarte Dunn

Kurt Russell is in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Cynthia M Farrington

It was awesome watching it with you guys lmfao I think the best look on both ur faces was deff when the stomach oopened and pit the doctors fore arms off LOL 1:19:8

Jarl Greedo

One of my favorite scary movies ever!!!

Ashley S

Just an FYI.....the 2011 The Thing was NOT a remake or a sequel. This was a prequel to the 1982 movie. It follows a plot that aligns with the creature's origins and introduction to Earth

Christina Terwilliger

Definitely checkout John Carpenter’s THEY LIVE.

Karim

18:25 Bj hittin that saturday Night fever LOL!! Get it G! Lol Now Aja getting into it. I love yall. Remind me of me and my wife. 23:00 Aja's face LMAO 33:26 Both yal LMFAOOOO 51:45 Both Yall LMFAOO

Jarl Greedo

The 1951 movie is very obviously from 1951. This movie is a remake and the 2017 is a prequel that stinks in my opinion. This version is definitely in my top 25 even though it is a remake it is one of the exceptions to remakes being bad along with the Scarface remake in 1983 also in my top 25. Along with Bad Boys 1983 & Fresh 1994.😉😉

shawn boyce

OH PS. the OG movie IS better but the newer movie is a PREQUEL So i suggest checking it out.

Jarl Greedo

This is one of my favorite movies. Thank you Aja and Bj for covering it. Both of your faces were priceless lmfao. I'm gonna have to go back through and time stamp it

Jarl Greedo

Great Reaction! I'm so glad you put this one out. Your faces almost pulled back over your skulls on some of the 'Thing' moments. Now you see why we fought so hard to get you to watch it!

David Brown

One of my all time favorites! I forgot how many good jump scares this movie has!! I always have to close my eyes during the part with the dogs though. 🫣

Kimberly Tyda

You guys are the only reason I’m watching this. I’m not a horror movie fan. I hope this is good

TinCan Cosmanaut

Now you've seen IT (1990) and the Thing (1982). If you haven't watched IT (2017) and IT Chapter 2 (2019) please take a look. I would love to see a "director's cut" of the new two IT movies cut together like the novel and IT 1990.

Jerry

Don't shoot the wolf Asia is regretting those words now lol!

Mike West

Now I know what the fuss was kinda all about - glad I watched it. Great reaction as always!

SilverDoe🎔

Ok, the worst part for me, was when the wiggly, stringly, bloody, thin tentacles, with hissing noises, came out of the dog in the pen! And, then they kept wriggling out toward the guys, and then the damn dog mutant grows spider/crab legs. Oh, and the guy's head also grew spider/crab legs to "run away"!! I saw all of this when I was about 7 years old in 1982, and this still freaks me out at age of 47. so glad you guys got to see this old classic John Carpenter sci-fi horror!! Loved your reaction!

Greg

IT Chapter 2 (2019) also.\

Jerry

Now when they watch The Hateful Eight, I’m going to laugh when they say, “hmmm, there’s something very familiar about this🤔”

Michael King

Asia and BJ, y’all are so cute.

Cynthia M Farrington

he did test his own blood. right after he tests Windows's blood first, as he goes to do it he says "Now ill show you what i already know" i can answer almost anything there is about this movie. my fav horror of all time.... what will really get you good is that Childs was the thing at the end. how do i know that. because macready had that bottle of liquor filled with gasoline. it was his last molotov. childs took it and drank it. thats why maccready laughed at the end most people wont catch that one.

AllSeeing_I

Great Reaction, Long Time Coming.

Old Drill Sgt.

LOL this was a great reaction : ) A couple of questions for Asia and BJ - Did you notice MaCready (Kurt Russell) never tested his own blood? And where was Childs (the other guy that lived) during all the excitement at the end? Was the Thing killed?

Jerry

Asia barely got through this one, lol

Renee S

100% that is an amazing movie!!

AllSeeing_I

id like to make ONE suggestion i think many subscribers will agree with. at the end of a movie when the credits come on, you should at least let a minute go by before you stop watching. there are a lot of movies that have something in the credits. THIS movie in particular didnt. but if you watch the prequel one of the most important parts is about 30 seconds after the credits roll so i just would like to make that suggestion

AllSeeing_I

Props on doing Both for the tie and all...let me just slip in this sleeper suggestion, The Descent...super good time for a scary type movie. Or even just a tension movie. Cheers.

StatueOfGuyThinking

Great reaction! One of my all time favorite horror movies. The heart attack scene always gets me, even when you know it’s coming! Always fun to get to rewatch some classics with you two

Matt

Oh boy! HERE WE GO!!! Asia's gonna spend the entire movie HIDING BEHIND THE COUCH!!! LOL

Michael Wise

Here’s the thing yo. This is where I actually agree with Daenerys’s father, King Aerys II (The Mad King), when he said “Burn them all, burn them all.” Sounds like sane and rational advise in this movie. What a great sci-fi/horror flick. Asia and BJ all the way.👍💙☮️🧊+🔥

Jesse

Hey Asia & BJ, you have to watch Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978). This movie freaked me out when I first saw it.

Tonya Miller

Great movie great reaction. You both make me nervous cause ur nervous watching these kind of films haha

James B.

Definitely watch the 2011 one too

Jeff

I love this movie

Jeff

I'm a big fan of Kurt Russell. Seems like a cool dude.

jason

The Thing (2011) is still worth it if you liked this one. It's a prequel and kinda explain what happened before on the Norwegian Base. I personally prefer the older one, but the 2011 is still good imo. ;)

Hyperion

Awwww shhhh 😎🍿

Antonio

Multiple governments have set up permanent research stations in Antarctica and these bases are widely distributed. Unlike the drifting ice stations set up in the Arctic, the research stations of the Antarctic are constructed either on rock or on ice that is (for practical purposes) fixed in place. Many of the stations are staffed throughout the year. A total of 42 countries (as of October 2006), all signatories to the Antarctic Treaty, operate seasonal (summer) and year-round research stations on the continent. The population of people performing and supporting scientific research on the continent and nearby islands varies from approximately 4,000 during the summer season to 1,000 during winter (June).[1] In addition to these permanent stations, approximately 30 field camps are established each summer to support specific projects

Cynthia M Farrington

Told yall The Thing was like that Fam. The Kid will never let you down. Ever. Great reaction again

Jah (jakwiq) (Jah Quick)

They went to the Norwegian base camp where the crazy dude came from who was shooting at the dog.

Cynthia M Farrington

Hope we still get (IT 2017) The Thing is awesome tho

Youjest

I was not aware of that. Thanks for sharing that.

Russ

Alright! Love this movie! Can’t wait to see your reactions on this one.

Russ

Haven't watched this either - Hopefully I'll enjoy this in a bit, thanks Asia and BJ :)

SilverDoe🎔

It has been some years since I have watched this, but it is absolutely one of my favorite horror films of all time. Can't wait to see how many times Asia hides behind the blanket and BJ holds on tight to the seat. haha

Chris Unknown

Yeah reactors made me watch it. Saw it at the Alamo and was not disappointed.

PIG

What a welcomed surprise. Thank you guys

Rio Mendoza

Yay! I love this one. The newer one is a prequal and honestly felt like a completely different movie until the last 5 minutes.

Alexis Thompson

The blanket and the finger mask.

Cynthia M Farrington

This is still the best monster movie of all time, and likely always will be. It's perfect, and shows what can be done with no CGI at all.

PapaXan

For awareness. The newer one in 2011 is NOT a remake. It is a direct PREQUEL. Its what happens BEFORE this movie. Its similar but it is not a remake despite what people will say.

AllSeeing_I

Somehow I’ve never seen this. Looking forward to watching it with you guys later! ❤️
