Pine Barrens, my all time favorite episode.

Jennifer D Downie

Gloria Trillo is my favourite of Tony's sidepieces

Saturday Night Beaver

Fun fact... This episode was directed by Steve Buscemi

Toolshed76

Paulie can be annoying sometimes but damn he’s one of my favorite characters lol

Chase Leviner

Personally I think the last season is the best - all of season 6. Ironically, season 3 is my least favorite of all the seasons

Time Out Humanity

Also, fun story: Steve Schirippa (Bobby) knew Gandolfini had to laugh when he walks into the room in his hunting getup — so he goes to the prop guy and asks them if they have a dildo. He gets the biggest black dildo he can find and leaves it hanging out of his zipper when he walks into the room. Gandolfini's laughter is completely genuine. They used a different take of Bobby walking into the room and cut it with the genuine laughter lol

Season 3 is the peak of this show IMO. Not to say the remaining aren't good, they are, but 2 and 3 are amazing. So well done, creative, and not to mention funny. The Sopranos is a drama, but it's legitimately one of the funniest shows of all time.

To be completely honest, I thought I had seen this as a kid but I was only like 6 yrs old when it came out so NO I hadn't seen it. I enjoyed it though, especially with your reactions. I can't wait to see your reaction to the NEW IT now! Asia better put her feet up from the opening credits! Great reaction guys!

Wendy Garner

I try to say "I saw dat movie, I thought it was bullshit" whenever opportunity strikes.

Pine Barrens is one of the most popular episodes of the show and many peoples' favorite episode altogether. I think it's great but overhyped. It's definitely a unique, important, well-written and well-acted episode. There are just so many amazing episodes in this series that there are many others more worthy of being favorite in my opinion.

I didn't recognize him. He plays a great villain.

Cynthia M Farrington

On a hill with pinecones all around

Justin Freeman

What’s funny to me about this episode is I recommended both Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct in the movie suggestions post below. This episode reminds me of Fatal Attraction and that movie that Jackie Jr and his friend were watching was Basic Instinct with the famous Sharron Stone scene. Hahaha.

Pink Martini AZ

Fun fact- It wasn’t in the script for Gloria to spit on Tony while they were physically fighting. The actress just thought to do it. When they ended the scene James Gandolfini asked, “Did you just spit on me?”

Julie A

It won’t be cinematic followed by patsy getting groceries likes it normal day. Such a good episode

CJ Willis

Put Universal Remote back on Docking Station.

Ralphie wanted Tony to go against him and say, “nope, I’m not giving him a pass.” so it would all be on Tony. But tony took the opportunity to put it all on Ralphie to decide. That’s why when he agreed to the pass, Ralphie came back with “but Chris and Furio though. . .” Hoping he’ll change his mind, lol. I haven’t heard you guys mention it, but Ralphie is the villain from The Matrix. The one who made a deal with Agent Smith to betray Morpheus and Neo, in exchange for being put back in the matrix rich and oblivious. And he unplugged a bunch of the others while they were still in, killing them.

Michael King

Richie was his uncle. Jackie was his father, the boss that died in season 1

Rio Mendoza

Wow! That's awesome! That's a great episode to have been your first

Rio Mendoza

When you see Tony laughing at Bobby's hunting outfit, that was for real. The actor who played Bobby wore a dildo on his head offscreen to get maximum laughter from James Gandolfini.

Liz McCarthy-Edwards

I think Asia is confusing Ritchie Aprille with Jackie Aprille Sr. Ritchie was Jackie Jr's uncle. Jackie Sr. was the Mobb Boss before Tony took the reigns. Ritchie was locked up when his brother Jackie Sr. was the boss. But Ritchie is sleeping with the fishes now thanks to Janice.

You two ... do me a favor ... the Season Finale ... its only 1 episode ... on Sunday ... so i have something nice to watch while i eat GABAGOOOL

Dan Sopranos

Asia would have been like 8 years old when that movie came out. 🙄

Julie A

I think Ralphie set Richie April Jr up to fail with that story he told him about the card game.

Cynthia M Farrington

Pine Barrens is a masterpiece. Just the right blend of dark humor and drama.

Melissa

episode 11 was a lot of peoples favorite episodes and it was the 1st episode I ever watched of the Sopranos.

Gary Morse

best show ever bar none this birthed shows like breaking bad and soa

tyler farias

Christopher- “Really? His apartment looked like shit.” 🤣🤣🤣

Julie A

Jackie Jr’s father wasn’t Richie. Richie was his uncle. Jackie Jr.‘s father was Jackie Aprile. You saw him at the beginning of the series. He was the boss who was dying (and then died of cancer). He was like a brother to Tony. Uncle Jun took over after Jackie Sr. died (even though Tony was secretly calling the shots).

Julie A

"F--k this!!" 🤣

Mikey Sea

So you guys have never seen or heard of the 1992 movie BASIC INSTINCT and the famous scene with Sharon Stone??? 😂

N M

"Poor You"; that's when it clicked for Tony that he was drawn to Gloria because she is just like his Mother

Jacqueline Separovich

My favorite episode besides Whitecaps!

Jonny Kerr (JK)

"I wash my balls with icewater!" 😆 weird flex, but okay. Also, that scene where Bobby walks in the kitchen wearing his hunting gear and Tony dies laughing- What really happened on set was that Bobby knew he was supposed to make Tony laugh, so he came in holding a humongous "marital aid" the prop master brought him haha

Jake Martin

The whole fiasco with the Russian was hilarious.

Cynthia M Farrington

😘 😘 😘

Dan Sopranos

The Pine Barrens without a doubt is my favorite episode; the two of them lost in the South Jersey Pinelands is hysterical!!! Have you noticed that throughout the show they writers very quietly show how ignorant some of the characters are by purposely having them pronounce words incorrectly? Sometimes because the character doesn't know how to say the word, or they completely don't KNOW the word. In this episode when Paulie says that the Russian had been an "Interior Decorator", when he was actually a member of the Department of the Interior in Russia was PRICELESS!!!!!!

Jacqueline Separovich

Yes!

Oohhhhh!
