They should do the trilogy. A lot of people didn't care for 3 From Hell, but I liked it.

There’s only one The Thing. The 2011 movie is the prequel about what happens at the Norwegian station. The end of that movie is the beginning of the original. It ends with them chasing the dog across the ice.

I think the descent offers something the other movies on this list do not and that is a claustrophobic scared of the dark nightmare. I don't want to say anything else just in case nobody has seen it but the descent is amazing. Oh yeah, it has a ton of heart also it's just an all-around great movie

That one isn’t a remake, it’s a prequel to what happens in the original. Have you not seen it? It ends with the Norwegians chasing the dog across the open land where the original movie begins.

If it's The Thing, it has to be the 1982 one. That's the classic, not the remake from 2011. Been wanting you to check it out.

IT never scared me because I read the book and the movie was weak compared to it. The Thing on the other hand really medsed me up.

Stephen King is so good at character development and that's why no movie will ever be able to truly depict the horror in the same way that he can in his books, although this movie comes as close to achieving that as I've ever seen, with the possible exception being the screen adaptation of The Green Mile, but that wasn't horror, just supernatural in nature. The films are awesome, you owe it to yourselves to watch IT, and I'm dying to see Asia watch it!
