Oh yea, that is on the top 10 best movies ever made however it was a tragedy that Heath Ledger passed away from an overdose. The one thing most of actors and artist suffered from was Insomnia so they would all take some form of sleeping medicine to aid them in their sleep. Heath was one of them and had trouble sleeping and I believe thats how he passed. Looking forward to the 4th one

This is the best Batman movie. Credit to Director/Writer Christopher Nolan for making a great movie with so many moving pieces and themes, yet keeping it straight and the viewer engaged. After Nolan and Bale leave the franchise it goes downhill fast. Even the last one can't match the story and intensity of all 3 of the Nolan/Bale movies. PS Google Christopher Nolan movies, he really makes great ones. Off the top of my head, The Prestige, Inception & Interstellar are incredibly done movies. You can't go wrong with any Nolan movie.

This was my favorite Batman. Mainly because of Heath Ledgers role. They even did a great job with the makeup. It didn't look like him at all and it didn't sound like him either. It's a shame he died after the movie was made. I must have had a different version of the movie. Mine is still going. Great reaction 😃 👍

I'm enjoying your reactions to the Nolan Batman movies. Everyone (rightfully) focuses on Ledger's Joker but I am a big fan of the character Two-Face, and I do wish Aaron Eckhart had gotten more screentime with the character. I always felt Batman and Two-Face had deserved a separate movie. In the comics (and animated series), Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent were friends, which made his descent into villainhood that much harder on Bruce. Always appreciated that relationship between the two. You should check out Batman: The Animated Series for some great stories with him and all his villains.

When they first did this is '89 with Michael Keaton's Batman vs Jack Nicholson's Joker, Joker died, and I guess this time they thought they'd try something different and allow for rematches. Heath Ledger's real life death made that not an option.

It works well for you that you don't know the Batman story or the villains in that universe. That way you didn't know that Harvey was always destined to become the villain two-face. Movie was made by Heath Ledger though with his awesome Joker performance. Tragic loss of his life after this brilliant role.

Fun Fact: Maggie Gillianhall (Racheal Dawes) reaction to the Heath Ledger ( Joker) was real. She had never seen Heather Ledger in the Joker makeup and this was her only scene with him so when he was in her face she said he genuinely frightened her and she was taken back and she found it hard to look at him.

The first movie gave us Ra's al Ghul and Scarecrow. This one gave us Two-Face and The Joker. The final movie gave us another 2 great villains. As others have suggested, u might want subtitles for the next one. The sound quality is different and the main villain has a mask which makes it hard to understand him the first time you watch.

So Harvey Dent was always going to be a villain by the end of the film, his character is the Batman comic villain called "Two-face". It may seem like a shock that he broke bad, but he was always going to follow his comic roots. I can appreciate that not everyone knows the comics like that. But I hope this helps ease the shock! :)

Ok, cool tidbits. Heath Ledger directed both "home" mini movies that the news played in Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan trusted Heath enough to let him direct them. Heath's posthumous Oscar is the first and only so far to win for a performance in a Comic Book/Superhero film. Besides the Oscar, he won total 53 awards for The Joker, including Golden Globe, BAFTA, Australian Film Institute, SAG, Saturn and MTV. Just wish he'd been able to celebrate it. He died 3-4 months after production wrapped and was filming another movie at the time. To this day I get chills when Joker is hanging off building at end and says something about them being destined to do this forever. Ok, yes, a little misty eyed as well. So happy you two finally got to it.

Was the fact that Heath Ledger was doing drugs in order to get to the mental state he played the Joker as. Which lead to his death.... He quite literally gave us the performance of his life. Was a great lose for sure.

BJ, you can't jump off the boat - if Joker sees you do it, he blows up BOTH boats... This was easily THE best Joker I've ever seen in a Batman or DC movie. Yessss, one of my FAV movies of all time. I'm a geek so this ones in my TOP 5. There is so much going on in here its impossible to catch the first watch thru. But something I think you might enjoy knowing. When Joker walks in and demands half of the money from the mob, everyone laughs in the room except the guy who asked him how much he wanted, Implying that goon understood that it would probably take an outrageous amount of money for someone to actually succeed in taking down the BAT and the JOKER was not so crazy, in fact. he's actually a genius. I don't know if there has been a better villain in a movie ever since this came out, maybe there has, but definitely NOT in a SUPERHERO movie, that's for damn sure. Superhero movies nowadays are way to cookie cutter. they pump them out like they're nothing nowadays its sad.. ANOTHER GREAT REACTION!!!

The joker really is a complex Character - He's scarily smart, and he's not sane but...There's a deepness to his madness. RIP Heath Ledger. He put his heart and soul into this role and it shows. as i said before, Christopher Nolan analyzes the human condition's darkest aspects the first movie had Fear in this wild ride, we have Chaos As the Joker says, "I'm an agent of Chaos." Name everythng in here that had to do with chaos. this is more than just a superhero movie more than just a crime movie it's an exploration into the soul it gets scary and filthy according to this movie I'm happy you got to it this fast!
