Recently I've been looking to modernize my old flashlight Convoy S2+ that I've had for many years. It appears a lot progress has been made in the flashlight technology last time I checked. There are now highly efficient buck drivers as well as some new LED options.
If you're looking for a flashlight here are some of my recommendations:
Convoy C8+
cslnm1.tg (W1) led - really good throw
5A 12 groups buck driver - efficient and doesn't get hot

Convoy M21B or M21C
bigger option with a 21700 battery
LHP73B 6500K led - really powerful, flood led, and no green tint
20A buck driver - really powerful, it gets hot
I recommend you ask Simon to install a forward switch for you. If you leave a note in the order one will be installed free of charge.
This is not an advertisement, I bought these and I really like them. With Convoy it is love or hate relationship as they have been caught selling B grade Molicel batteries recently, there were some issues with subpar drivers etc. However I still think they offer best value, and the build quality of the hosts is way better than some of the competing brands - especially considering the price.
