King Robert wants to kill Daenerys becuz she's Targaryen. Before the show took place, the Targaryens used to sit on the Iron Throne , and the Baratheon's , Starks , and Lannister started a rebellion and went to war with the Targaryens. The reason y because the Mad King was a tyrant , and burn Ned Starks father & uncle alive.... he burned everyone alive. Tyrian, the Imp seems to have been set up by someone else, to take the fall. We know he didn't do it though, from the scene in Winterfell. And now Lady Stark overreacted and took him prisoner, and now the Starks (Wolves) and Lannisters(Lions) have some serious beef. The King is a Baratheon (Stag). Khaleesi (Targaryeon, Dragon symbol) with Dothraki baby in the oven. Stuff is getting real!!

Excellent. Great reaction. It is confusing with so many royal families and characters. The Hound and the Mountain are brothers. The Mountain burned the Hound's face when children The Hound is Lannister body guard. The opening before every episode is important to watch for the map in the beginning as you learn the logistics of the show. The king Baratheon has two brothers. One is the gay one who sits on the council.

The thing with the information in the book is that EVERY "bastard" child of the king was born with dark hair - but the one child who has blonde hair is Geoffrey (who he had with the Queen) who is supposed to be his legal heir to the throne. What this means is that Geoffrey is NOT his son and so he is not the true heir to the throne. Since we know the queen is sleeping with her brother Jaime, that most likely means the child is his. So, not only is the boy a bastard, so not eligible to be king, he is also the product of the relationship between a brother and sister. At this point, the king doesn't know this, and if he did, he would probably kill the boy and his mother, and Jaime. someone obviously, doesn't want anyone else to figure this out - that's why the previous Hand-of-the-King was killed, because he found out - when Ned figures it out they will want him dead as well. Also, just fyi, Jaime is going to get Tyrion away from Caitlyn's sister (he doesn't know Tyrion already found a way to get free without him) - and I wasn't sure if you had the connection between Tyrion, Jaime, and Cersie (the queen) but they are all brothers and sister).

Everyone in the Baratheon line has black hair and the Lannisters have blonde hair. So does Joffrey… which two Lannisters could be his actual parents? 🤔😉 Maybe a slight spoiler, but Asia I feel like you were coming to that conclusion anyway. Bran Stark isn’t alone in Winterfell—His older brother Rob is there acting as Lord of Winterfell while their father is away. And Theon Greyjoy, who has lived with the family as Ned Stark’s ward since he was a child is also there. Sansa Stark is about 13 y/o at the beginning of this series so she’s barely a teenager who still believes in the fairytales her septa tells her. (Septas and septons are female and male clergy members. “Sparrows” are also part of the clergy.) Sansa still thinks the happily ever after story with a dashing price to save her is a thing. You’ve probably caught on to this, but Varys (the bald eunuch also called the Spider) and Petyr Baelish (Littefinger) are basically the same person, haha. They just have different motivations for doing what they do, but they are both master manipulators and conspirators, they know everything about everyone because they employ a network of spies, and they are always up to something. BJ, you were correct—Daenerys Targaryen (Khaleesi) was not burned when she took the dragon egg out of the fire, while her lady in waiting was. We gain insight as to why when her brother was killed by the molten gold and she said, “Fire cannot kill a dragon.” Or burn them. It took me until the second season to realize Tyrion and Tywin Lannister were two different people. Tywin is the father of Jamie and Cersei (the twins) and Tyrion (The Imp), and he is the one Eddard Stark (Ned) sent people after. This is only my second time through this series but I am catching a lot more on the rewatch than I did the first time. Not totally understanding every detail, family name, or storyline doesn’t take away from the overall plot in my opinion. And I think you guys are doing a good job at keeping stories straight. Better than I did the first time 😊

It’s not a spoiler but you guys think Ned wanted to arrest Tyrion but it’s Tywin they have very similar names. Tywin is Tyrions father. King robert is also a Baratheon which will be handy to know the Lannister’s and the Starks aren’t the only big houses in Westeros there is the Tyrell’s, the Greyjoys, Baratheons and the Martells.

Thanks again for letting your fans and fans of GOT dive back into the show with you. A couple of suggestions (requests?): it's worth watching the "previously on Game of Thrones" to be reminded of what's happened, even for people who have seen the show. It's easy to get lost in the many plot threads. Also, I think it's fun to let the opening credits roll instead of skipping them. It's only about a minute and a half, and it's designed to show the geography of the world they're in, including new lands and peoples as they are introduced. Also, the music is iconic and strongly connected with the show. Maybe at least run the opening credits for the first of each new pair of episodes? Also, the characters that threatened to kill Bran in the forest were the first Wildlings that have appeared in the show (people that live north of the enormous ice wall - their leader is Mance Rayder). They were fleeing south to escape the white walkers. Sorry for the long post, I know that you're both busy!

The intro music will move from castle to castle where the story will take place. Changes from episode to episode. It adds a couple of minutes to the episodes but can show people unfamiliar with Westeros where things are happening especially when they add a new location.

I really feel that you guys need to take the time and start over. Rewatch it from the beginning because it's going to get alot more confusing if you don't have a grasp of what's going on and who is who so far.

If you genuinely haven't seen this yet then I'd recommend watching the intros. They are all different according to the episode and they fly over all the places where the episode is happening so you can understand the geography of it...js

The intro music will move from castle to castle where the story will take place. Changes from episode to episode. It adds a couple of minutes to the episodes but can show people unfamiliar with Westeros where things are happening especially when they add a new location.

This show is so heavy and dense. This is the 5th or 6th time I’m watching and I’m still picking up on things I hadn’t caught before. So don’t feel bad for not knowing everything right away. It’s a lot a lot.

Guys can you enlarge the image of the show next time please? When it's this small it's almost impossible to see what's going on. Ps the picture quality on it was also very low definition too and dark like your screen brightness was turned down

Fun fact - the opening sequence (intro music) is supposed to change with each episode. I could never catch it. But it’s supposed to be where the stories will be for that episode

It was around this point of the show I really started to get into it. I had tried and failed to get into the show a couple of times before that, giving up after 1 or 2 episodes. Ended up binging the first 5 seasons in 2 weeks😂
