Band of Brothers E2

Band of Brothers E2

Comments

I've been dying for someone to react to Generation Kill..

Logan Nelson

I'm just a Canadian public servant I can certainly appreciate Americans that keeps my country safe :) thank you for your service!

sammy

Great reaction to Ep2. One thing - I do like your screen to be moved back to the top/side. It seemed larger and I could watch your reaction better. I also have to use closed caption and that sadly goes right across the little screen at the bottom. Not complaining, just asking.

Terrie Calabrese

That is one helluva sobering doco, well worth the watch though.

Liz McCarthy-Edwards

Combat veteran here. I would love it if you would check out a doc called Restrepo!!!

PBlack

Ho-ly crap. This is positively RIVETING. Harrowing, emotional, frightening, tragic, and RIVETING. I don't think I blinked through the entire episode.

Mickey D

Bravery. I come from a big family of military. Myself USMCresv. Bravery. To me its "knowing you can get hurt or die, others are counting on you, you are terrified. But you go anyway." We can only be brave when we are afraid.

jason

I've always meant to watch this but just never got round to it so was pleasantly surprised when this went up. I'm loving watching it along with you guys and can't believe I've never seen it before. Esp love seeing faces of future stars too - I'm looking at you, Andrew Scott!

CeeCee

I always tried to imagine what this kind of experience was like and a part of my brain just locks in fear. I can't, not just because I didn't experience it, but because the thought of how random your survival chances are in this rain of bullets and artillery fire is overwhelming. I am and always was in awe while listening to war veterans trying to explain what was fundamentally pure chaos. What these men had to got through... no words

Jojo

Thank you!

Asia and BJ

Great reaction to truth in history. Looking forward to watching much more with you guys. I still am amazed at those World War 2 vets. Imagine that war happening in Europe happening as shown in Band of Brothers and...there was another war happening at same time against Japanese in the Pacific islands.

Lift Me (Dave)

Out of all the wars our country has been in, if i( HAD )to be in a war i'd chose this one i think.

Muff420

Loved the reaction. Very intense episode. More to come!

Wayne Polk

gosh you guys HAVE too do "Schindler's list "

Crispin

Thank you for reacting to this, I joined Patreon just for you guys 😊

Nicholas Stansell

Lipton is my favorite soldier in the company. I love his story. You’ll notice that you start to feel connected with the guys in the company as the journey continues. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Marcus

The last surviving member of Easy Company passed away last year or year before, I believe. Dick Winters died in January 2011 from Parkinson’s Disease.

The 101st Airborne Division Suffered 1,240 Casualties On D- Day 182 Killed 557 Wounded 501 Missing. The 82nd Airborne Division Suffered 1,259 Casualties On D- Day 156 Killed 347 Wounded 756 Missing. The British 6th Airborne Division Suffered 800 Total Casualties On D- Day, I Couldn't Find A Clear Break Down Of Killed Wounded And Missing.

These men were no chumps. Taking out those guns was critical and was done masterfully. This is why you need a strong military. There is no room for political correctness bs. I’m so glad you are doing this series Asia and BJ. Your reactions and comments are right on the money.

Pink Martini AZ

the older men at the beginning of the episodes are the actual men who did these things and were talking about their service times. This series was shot in 1999, so fortunately they were still around to talk to. I believe most are dead now. Dick winters would be 100 years old if he is still living.

Gary Morse

Great reaction and a treat this Sunday afternoon! Lt. Winters became commanding officer of Easy because Lt. Meehan was killed - his plane was the one that took fire and crashed into a field before they could jump.

Catherine LW

Guarnere (the soldier that didn't wait for Lt. Winters's command) is the one who found out his brother was killed just before leaving.

Darnell Holland

Thanks for the recommendation!

Darnell Holland

They were firing on Utah beach. SPR was on Omaha. Utah too significantly fewer casualties because of Easy taking out those guns at Brecourt.

Catherine LW

Every episode is so intense but it’s must see watching to really learn about our history. Last night I watched the D Day episode of WWII in Color on Netflix and if you get a chance to watch in private, you get so much background on what they flew in to and how many amazing ways our military planned (and some things we didn’t plan for) so good!

Mary Merry Berry

The Americans would say Flash and have to repeat Thunder to identify themselves because "TH' isn't in the German language. If a German tries to say thunder it comes out as Sunder. Brilliant on the Americans part.

New Pateron here. You will get attached to every character in this series. That’s how well it’s written, directed and acted.

Lori Brooks

Even better when you remember he was a real man. And from all the testimony of the men he led, he was exactly as they portrayed him.

Richard Blain Russom

Just for context. The guns they took out with TNT were firing onto the beaches of Normandy where the opening scenes in the movie Saving Private Ryan were taking place

Davey

I've got to say, of All the different Film/TV reaction channels I watch, along with being Good, Wonderful, Cool people, Y'all have Thee BEST content going today... Seriously
