Breaking Bad S5. E11 and E12

Breaking Bad S5. E11 and E12

Comments

everytime i do a watch thru - theres a few times during season 5 (the last 16 episodes) where i think 'if it could have just ended here, id be happy" - like right before hank used the bathroom in S5E8 when theyre all in the backyard having a great time, or after Skylar runs Lydia off at the car wash a few episodes later , Hank having to stay quiet, no proof, skylar and walt getting along etc. Then at the point where Jesse and Hank work together i was hoping during the sting scene jesse would have called on the payphone to say 'get out of here, theyre trying to frame you' after jesse seeing the confession tape at hanks (so he knew the fake confession to know to say that) - then Jesse could have disappeared on his own, Walt after hanks demise could have disappeared with the vaccuum van guy leaving his money to his family but still alive - i was wanting that so 10-20 years down the road if the right planets aligned we could get a limited run sequel series, maybe the tagline "one last cook." with Jesse, Walt, and Saul. years down the road. BUT NO. they had to smear the ending into nothingness so no one coudl touch their precious IP once Gilligan was done with it... i still would be fine with 'everything after Walt ran away was a dream while he passed out into a Cancer-like-coma' - wakes up in the hospital, Marie took her own life so she wont be an issue, Walt gets released and his bills paid for, he finds out its Jesse. They come to an agreement. Jesse now has the countdown clock. "Andrea... shes sick. She was given 9 months. I have to make this money for brock and i want her to know he will be set for life before she goes." --sorry i wish we could get more.

A LINUS ADVENTURE

that fake confession video was walts way of saying 'if im going down - so are you.'

A LINUS ADVENTURE

i knoq yall are done with the show and its probably annoying getting spammed with facts but i love yalls reactions even if you miss things (that i didnt even get right on my first watch) but Walt poisoning brock was all done and planned off screen and the reason Jesse figured it out is because Huell took his Doobie that he was looking for then it made it click that Huell did it before, only saying because Huell comes back in Better call Saul, which you guys would LOVE, Cheers!

Seriously... While watching Breaking Bad for the 3rd time, I still saw new things. Those comments are horrible.

Task bar! Task bar! Task bar!, Taskbar! Aaaaaaaaah! & so forth. Find a way to get the video bigger not distractedly smaller. Please thank you. I can't find a back handed compliment emoji.

Asia, you nailed it by saying “Walt is a master manipulator.” And Bryan Cranston does a great job in episode 11 playing that role. He manipulated Walt Jr. into not going to Hank and Marie’s house. He manipulated (delayed) the “getting arrested situation” by giving Hank and Marie the confession DVD. He tries to manipulate Jesse in the desert scene. And mostly he manipulates the audience into believing he’s acting on good intentions which cloaks his underlying manipulative motives. Brilliant.

Jesse

Ppl need to chill, it's quite common for most people watching the first time to forget a few things, I'm honestly watching them react to it and enjoying it again.. I watched this years back when they were live episodes, now I'm seeing clarity to the entire story. Asia and BJ don't worry about these silly ass comments

When you’re intrigued into a show especially with some else and watching for the first time, you don’t catch everything cause you’re just reacting to what you’re seeing. I know damn well I didn’t catch most of this until a rewatch or just discussing it with other fans. No need to call them slow or be aggressive in your comment to them. So Jesco, you chill out lol.

Orion Moore

Who says that though, Like an internet karen lol

why the poetic form

You take it easy as well. I stayed the obvious. I enjoy watching them obviously I pay to watch them. Stating the obvious. A lot slips by them tho. On so many shows. So you chill out

Jesco White

That's the thing about watching for the first time. Sometimes it slips right past you and you don't realize. Take it easy and enjoy.

Jessie Howe

You guys are slow sometimes. Jesse said how he knew in Sauls office. I enjoy you guys please pay better attention you’ve done same thing on other stuff you’ve watched.

Jesco White

I'm assuming Hank was able to find Jesse because he had those two guys of Gomez surveilling Saul's office. Maybe they were still there when Jesse shows up and then beat up Saul. It's a high probability then he went straight to the gas station and then to Walt's house.

Going back to the ricin cigarette in season 4.... The problem at that time, was Walt was trying to kill Gus, but he couldn't get close to him. Walt then tried to get Jesse to kill Gus with the ricin cigarette, but Jesse was becoming more loyal to Gus and wouldn't kill him. So, Walt wanted to devise a way to turn Jesse against Gus. The way he did it was to poison Brock and then convince Jesse that Gus was behind it. (Walt said, "It wouldn't be the first time he has hurt kids", in reference to Tomás getting murdered). In reality, Saul was helping Walt, so they had Huell steal the cigarette from Jesse. When Brock went to the hospital, Jesse looked in his cigarettes and saw the ricin one was missing. Jesse at first thought it was his fault, but later Walt convinced Jesse that Gus must have been the one to steal it. It was a weird plan with no real motive for Gus to do this (Jesse was on Gus' good side at the time), but none the less it led to Jesse turning against Gus and giving Walt the information he needed to kill Gus via Hector. Then fast forward to this episode, when Jesse realized his weed was missing while waiting for the disappearing guy, he realized Huell had lifted it from him while in Saul's office. Suddenly it clicked that Huell had also done the same thing shortly before his cigarette went missing, and it clicked that Walt must have been behind that whole scenario. Because like someone else said, in Season 4 when that all the went down, Jesse's first reaction was to think that Walt had poisoned Brock, because Walt was the only other person who knew about the ricin cigarette. Jesse had a gun to Walt's head, but then Walt talked Jesse out of it and convinced him that Gus had done it (Because Gus has cameras everywhere, so he could have known about the ricin too). So given this information, it wouldn't have taken a lot for Jesse to go back to his original conclusion of realizing Walt was behind everything.

Adding onto my post in the last episode about Walt withholding the cancer news from Skylar... He has also not told his own son. Only when Junior is about to leave for Hank and Marie's and Walt needs some reason to keep Junior there, does Walt finally decide to tell Junior about his cancer being back. Again, Walt only disclosing important info when it suits his interests.

Corks

There would be no reason to lift the ricin except for making it look like Brock was poisoned by it. If Walter didn't poison Brock with lily of the valley then how would he know to lift the ricin

Grym

Heisenberg ftw

ViVaLaRan .

The way I understand it, Jesse never thought Walt poisoned Brock with the Ricin, but with the flower. He freaked out realizing the lengths Walt goes to for his own goals, as well as involving Saul (hence the beat-down). He knew then that Walt used Brock to manipulate him into helping find Gus.

If you go back and watch when Jesse is leaving Saul office you can see Huell pick his pocket

yep, this

I’m pretty sure that “don’t be a snitch” is pretty high on whatever code Jesse lives by. But even higher on that list, probably even #1, is “don’t hurt children”.

Another great reaction, y'all!

daisy

Jesse figured it out when he realized Huell lifted his weed from his pocket at sauls office. He looked at his cigarettes and put two and two together that Huell must of lifted his ricin cigarette as well.

Adam smith

Jesse's original theory was that Walt had Saul take the ricin cigarette out of his pocket. And he was totally right. Huel pats him down and steals the pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. If you go back and watch that scene it's obvious what Huel does. And he does the exact same thing here taking the weed out of Jesse's pocket. So when Jesse reaches for the weed and its not there, he realizes that Huel lifted it from his pocket, just like he had done before. Then Jesse looks at his cigarettes and it all clicks for him. Its beautiful writing, all the pieces are there.

I can't believe I didn't watch this before but Asia you're right it's bad but it's getting good 👍 I'll have to rewatch it to get the twist and turns but reading the comments really help from guys that have seen it before. Great show 💯

Rita Bickford

I don't like being critical but can you guys make sure the movie is always in full screen on your computer. It's really hard to see what's going on already without it being even smaller

Davey

Hey guys great reaction! Getting close to the end! I recommended 2001: A Space Odyssey for a reaction the other day and I want to replace it with Goodfellas instead. No problem if you got a long list ahead of you though. Thanks!

Thomas E

At this point in the series I was all in on Team Jesse/Hank!

Todd Warring

Technically Jesse figured it out at the end of season 4 but Walt messed with his head again and convinced him otherwise.

Todd Warring

Huell is a pickpocket. You can clearly see in the first episode here, when Jesse says goodbye to Saul and exits the office, bumping into Huell. Huell takes the marijuana bag out of Jesse's pocket. When Jesse couldn't find the dope at the meeting spot, it all clicked. This was not the first time. Walter's ploy was to manipulate Jesse not only to get him on his side against Gus, but manipulate him into actively wanting Gus dead for hurting someone that he loved.

Jojo

I know for a fact that your reaction to episode 13 & 14 will be your most viewed reaction to any episode of any tv show you’ve watched so far!

Govand Okeh

You're in for a shockingly surprise as the series progreses
