Breaking Bad S2. E11 and E12

Breaking Bad S2. E11 and E12

When I watched the show for the first time years ago I believed Walter let her die because she was going to kill Jesse with their behaviour. But now that you mention it, I agree that the biggest reason was that she knew too much and was willing to use her knowledge of them.

BJ changed his shirt and hat and ya'll went straight on going huh?!πŸ˜‚

Walter let her die because she threatened to narc him out even after giving Jesse HIS money. She took over Jesse's mind and life and was ruining it. It wasn't a nice thing to do but business is business. ;-)

When Walter just let Jane die I knew he had changed for real. You could tell after that even Walter was shocked that he did that. Great reaction guys πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‘‹πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’œπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

When Skyler sung to Ted she was imitating (at Ted's request) the famous Happy Birthday sung by Marilyn Monroe to JFK at a gala for Kennedy's birthday at Madison Square Garden (Kennedy's wife Jackie was not in attendance).

We get our first glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito as Gus! If you guys have never seen him in Spike Lee’s β€œDo The Right Thing” that would be a good one to watch soon!

My breaking point was with Brock

Todd Warring

This was the first time where some viewers stop rooting for Walt and starting rooting against him. For me it was Brock.

Todd Warring

I joined mostly for this series. Glad you two like it, not surprised. Once you finished with BB, don't hesitate to check out BCS (Better Call Saul. Very good too) Much love, be well. -Riley.

Ah yes, the worst scene in all of Breaking Bad. Skyler singing with everyone awkwardly watching lmao edit: also, ted is evading taxes by underreporting revenue. It's not implied that he's stealing the money for personal gain

Kyle Turman

But I do know that when Bryan Cranston filmed that scene, he pictured his own daughter that is why he cried.

Darth Iskunniss

I know it it was a throwback but it was still so cringe, trying to re-enact it.

You see the change in Walt, where he let's Jane die. This was a pivotal moment where Walter fully became Heisenberg. Because if he could be that merciless towards Jane when he could have saved her and still just let her die. He could be that uncaring and merciless towards anyone or any other situation. This is where Walter White went fully to the Darkside. This is where he became fully Sith Lord, Darth Heisenberg. You notice the music during this scene, do you hear that anywhere else in the series, it is so dark and telling and let's you know Walter White, is now gone. It's not only her death, it's the death of Walter White as a good man, anymore. A mourning song for both deaths. I believe when he cries after her death, he is not only sorrowful for her death but the death of the man he was. He realizes, he will never be the same. You thought he didn't care anymore or had any mercy anymore?

Darth Iskunniss

One of those moments where you feel super exposed, want to run and hide in a bathroom stall with your feet up? Even though it isn't you that is the one that is being embarrassing! When you get chills throughout your whole body, but not in a, (Whitney Houston performs the National Anthem), type of chill. Yea, got that feeling too, showing my mom Breaking Bad for the first time. I think I made the excuse that I had to go to the bathroom.

Darth Iskunniss

Wow, what a horrible take. Clearly you or no one close to you has ever struggled with addiction since you have zero sympathy or understanding of how that works. Also, she wouldn’t have died if Walt wasn’t there. She made sure she and Jesse slept on their sides in case they threw up so they wouldn’t choke.. When Walt shook Jesse, she turned on her back, and that’s when she started choking. Also very hypocritical to judge an addict, yet cheer on the person providing all the addicts with drugs.

Violet

Look, if you threaten and insult me at all, especially over something that doesn't even concern you, don't ever expect me to save your life or help you. If you decide to f*ck up your life and overdose on crap, drugs and poison, that's your problem. Go W.White, would have done the same!

Jill I

I've yet to watch a scene in a tv series or movie that makes me feel the level of secondhand embarrassment as when Skyler sings happy b'day to Ted

Davey

I thought he was just underreporting income so as not to have to pay taxes on it

Matthew Kaufman

This show blows your mind. So well written.

damnn walt

Asia's face when Skylar was singing Happy Birthday.... I kept rewinding that!!! :)

ChipmunkFF

The birthday singing scene might be the cringiest tv moment ever.

Chemist

Great reaction! Y’all are noticing soooo much! Great job!

daisy

Well season 5 is 16 episodes so it basically feels like 6 seasons. Also there is a movie to watch. And then the show Better Call Saul starts off as kind of a prequel to breaking bad in the first bunch of seasons and is partially a sequel in the last few seasons. So plenty of Breaking Bad content to watch!

shaneth138

Skylar Singing Happy Birthday Was How Marilyn Monroe Sang It To President John F. Kennedy Very Famous Moment From The 1960s. It's On Youtube.

Old Drill Sgt.

Asia: "She's going to be the death of that boy." Me: *chokes on drink....it really does make sense why Walt let her die. She was literally threatening to expose Walter and destroy his life. It's true that he let her die but he was also conflicted about it. Walt is not quite evil...

Andrew Ramos

#1. Her dad fucked up. #2. Walter just broke bad. Sorry for the language. Fantastic series and reaction!!πŸ€“πŸ€

Justin Doggett

Watching her die though? I thought that was so ruthless of Walter. I started not liking Walter after this episode.

NJM

You're getting close to being at the episode where all the major characters are done being introduced.... and there will be lots of flashbacks to fill in gaps of info. Like others said, it's time to buckle up... the ride from here on out is hella fun... you might as well plan for a couple of days of binge watching. When I reached this point in the series, I cleared my calendar for 2 days and just watched the rest of the episodes. I enjoyed every minute.

Stacey Capito

You both have picked up on wayyyy more than I did my first time watching this show!!! Good for you guys!!! But this moment here made me really really wonder about Walter. Everything Asia said is true- Jane knew all and yes was a bit of a piece of shit herself- but to stand there and not help her. I couldn't believe my eyes. Buckle up its about to get real real. As always great reaction!!

Lee Stephenson

I don't think Skylar's boss was stealing money, as much as he was falsely overstating their revenue in order to prevent defaulting on bank loans. Companies who have bank loans are sometimes required to send their monthly financial information in what is known as a borrowing base report. Those reports show that you're keeping up certain financial results (KPIs aka Key Performance Indicators) as per the agreement in the loan. When you're in default of the agreement, the bank can choose to call the loan and demand full payment for the balance due. Sounds like in this scenario, it would cause the company to go out of business if that happens. Asia is correct in her accounting principles and how you can detect those discrepancies. πŸ’œ She's so smart.

Stacey Capito

Woo-hoo! Let's go!!
