2023-01-10 02:25:59 +0000 UTCI know exactly what Asia was talking about - seeing this movie and becoming fascinated with disaster movies (you had a lot of greaat ones listed on the poll with Twister). For me it was all the biblical stories about floods and end-of-the-world stories I heard as a child. I grew up having disaster "dreams" lol which started me off down the road with these movies. My kids laugh at me all the time about it :-) Always fun reactions, thank you both!

Now, I'm not known for getting emotional during a film but that movie got me, hard. I became THAT girl in the theater....lol. "Jack, don't let go, Rose don't let go of Jack! NO!!!!!!!!!!" With sobbing cries. The next movie we saw in theater was.....Armageddon. I literally yelled Nooooooo at THAT part, while tears fell freely. Why did this man marry me? Lmao! I got lucky, whew....

Bill was also in Aliens 2 as one of the solders, and Wierd Science as the jerk brother. RIP Bill Paxton, a great actor gone too soon; also the actor that played Dusty. Just a side note, I worked at the auction that sold the red truck(s) from this movie.

I have seen this movie multiple times but this would have to be the best time watching it and watching your reactions especially BJ who was seeing it for the first time. I love movies like this where we get to witness natures unbridled force. Whether it's tornadoes, tidal waves, volcanic eruptions etc, I am just in awe of Mother Natures power. Imagine if you could harness the power of a tornado or tidal waves or volcanic eruptions. You would have energy beyond your imagination. Amazing reaction once again Asia and BJ. Much ❤️
