Too bad. I'm new, trying this out. Thought you guys could've really enjoyed this movie but it seems you struggled to keep up with who was who, why they were there, why things went the way they did. The movie actually answers all of those questions as it progresses from beginning to end. At times, the movie was giving you answers while you were asking the questions!🤣 Well, that and talking about gold strikes and figuring out if it was Bill Paxton, or that they shoot guns a lot, or providing a better screenplay about "Wyatt Earp--bounty hunter" 🤣🤣

David Perkins

weshtern? I'm pretty sure its Western. Good call on watching Tombstone for your first western. BJ you were right, it was Tuberculosis that took Docs life in the end. And yes Asia its Bill Paxton as the younger brother. Here is a list of good westerns to watch. True Grit with John Wayne(stay away from the remake), The Good, the bad and the ugly, High plains drifter, 2 mules for sister Sara, Pale Rider, Outlaw Josey Wales, And The Missing. Then maybe you could add another collection labeled as Westerns.

How beautiful is that scene where Doc Holiday passes? It reminds me how important it is to keep your friends and to always try to be there for them.

Please check out another amazing western, “Unforgiven.”

Hi Asia and BJ, I'm a new patron and enjoying going back and watching your reactions. I like that you spend time after the move to break in down. Not all reactors do that and I appreciate that. Wyatt Earp is a well known lawman of that time who had made a reputation for himself, which is why everyone had heard of him when he and his brothers first arrived in Tombstone and why the Mayor and Marshall kept asking him to be a lawman again, but he kept turning them down saying he was retired. If I remember correctly, he had planned for Vigil and Morgan to join him in starting a new life in Tombstone, but you see how well that went. I love Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holliday in this movie. He was brilliant. The cowboy, Johnny Ringo, who did the gun tricks and said "It smells like someone died" after Morgan was killed was played by Michael Biehn. He also played Kyle Reese in the first Terminator movie as Sarah Conner's protector and ultimately the father of John Conner. Michael Biehn was also "Hicks" in Aliens. I also love the scene when Ringo was waiting for Wyatt, but Doc showed up instead. Ringo knew he could beat Wyatt in a gun fight, but not Doc, which was why he was trying to get out of it by saying he was just fooling about. I also love that Doc knew Wyatt wouldn't win and pretended to be more sick than he actually was so he could meet Ringo himself to save his friend, Wyatt. The look on Ringo's face when he realized it was Doc and not Wyatt was priceless and Doc said "I'm your Huckleberry" The man that was dragged behind the horse, McMasters, was one of the cowboys who gave up their red sashes after they went after the women and they said they don't agree with that and told Wyatt that they'd be with him if he needed their help.

Hey, I know y’all reacted to this a month ago but essentially what Curly Bill got high off of and what Maddie was drinking were the same thing. He was smoking opium and she was drinking a mixture of opium and alcohol or water called Laudanum. Opium comes from a poppy plant. It start being prescribed in the mid 1800’s and was used for EVERYTHING from pain to sleeplessness. They didn’t know about opiates yet so a lot of people were addicted like Maddie. The same thing happened in the early 1900’s when cocaine was used as a pick me up and an ingredient in Coca-Cola. Yep, people were drinking it.

That shootout at the O.K. Corral (when Virgil got hit in the leg) is one of the most famous gunfights of the wild west. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunfight_at_the_O.K._Corral

The Cowboys wearing badges: I believe what happened was when the Earps came to town, the county sheriff was friends with the Cowboys. Once the Mayor made Virgil the marshall and things came to a head, I think the Cowboys got their friend to deputize them to give them some legitimacy in fighting the legit lawmen.

Just watched this reaction. Great movie, huh? Knew you guys would like it!

Another good modern western is American Outlaws starring Colin Ferrel, about the outlaw Jessie James. BJ is right, Doc died of TB. Maddie & Wyatt had a common law marriage, they were never married by a preacher & Wyatt went to Tomestone from Dodge City, Kansas. Back in those days, a sheriff or marshall could deputize pretty much anyone when needed. So Behan deputized the Cowboys because he was pissed off at Wyatt. Here in Tomestone, Arizona, you can visit the OK Corral; it's a historic land site.

I love good western movies and Tombstone is one of my favs. Always loved that line "I'm your huckleberry". The action, the acting the storyline which is apparently nearly 100% correct as to what really did happen in Tombstone. Great movie, great reaction Asia and BJ, and love how you pronounce Western, "Weshten" Asia 😂. Dances with Wolves is a must see too. Much ❤️ Asia and BJ

Thank you Donna!!

Thank you Michael!!

Really enjoyed that reaction. Such an incredible movie. Probably the second most quotable movie after Forrest Gump, of course. At the end, when that guy was getting dragged And you called McMasters the bartender. McMasters was one of the three guys the threw down his red sash, and rode with Wyatt getting rid of the Cowboys. A couple of other really great westerns are Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood and Open Range with Kevin Costner.

Michael Lynch

One of my all-time favorite movies - EVER!!! Just an interesting fact - that part at the end, when Wyatt walks into the river became a legend. The men there with him said he walked out shooting, surrounded by men shooting at him and not one shot hit him😯 Last thing - if you liked this, you might also like "Young Guns" - another Western with this kind of feel...

Rhonda Turner

Yep!!! This was good👏👏reminds me of my dad, who watched and read sooo many westerns. Great storyline.. had a lil cry when Doc died😢 smiled when Wyatt got his lady😘 and loved the last part where the four of them walked down the street❤️ This really was awesome and loved y'alls reactions!!! Thanks guys!!!

Donna Bannister

Oh, this just made my day! I’m your huckleberry!

Jeremy Vickers

You might be thinking “Silverado” with Kevin Kline and Danny glover. Also watch “Young Guns” about Billy the Kid. Ultimate classic. Kiefer Sutherland. Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen. Lou diamond Phillips. Lotta well known actors. GREAT MOVIE

Steven MacK

Sheriff Behamn deputized the cowboys no they weren’t deputies til that guy who was chasing Maddie the actress. They didn’t get badges u til later after the Wyatt’s went after them.

Dawn

Nc masters was the curly headed guy who tuned his back on the cowboys and joined Wyatt

Dawn

Doc holiday was a dentist turned gunfighter. He died of tuberculosis that’s why they kept calling him lunger.

Dawn

Sam Elliot is such a good actor! He just looks like a cowboy without even trying. Love this film. I grew up with Westerns, war movies and Bond films lol - The sons of Katie Elder is a good classic with John Wayne and singer, Dean Martin - A good modern day one? Young guns. With Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips.
