Regarding the effects, they were revolutionary at the time. However, Lucas decided to make computer-generated updates at some point to those original movies and now it's a weird mix. I think the added CG stuff looks bad and doesn't fit (like Jabba in the hangar is just terrible and doesn't match his physical version at all). It feels more like the prequels that Lucas was also involved with. I'd also skip the Disney movies. Disney ruined Star Wars, Marvel, Indiana Jones, and their princesses. The evidence is the shrinking audiences and box office failures for brands that had been popular for decades previously.

Jabba the Hutt is hated by the other Hutts of species because he is a r*pist who has a fetish for girls of other species, and he kills girls who do not give into him hence why he killed the green chick during the party. And that is also what he had in mind for the princess if she continued to refuse him. Lucus was doing his best to keep this lore present in the film but he also did not want to make it too obvious because he wanted kids to also be able to watch the film. I am not trying to be inappropriate but knowing this does make Jabba's behavior in this film make more sense.

But please try to dive into Star Wars again asap! There's also some great SW shows to enjoy after the films, i think it would be a lot of fun! Some very cool stuff ahead! :)

2023-01-31 09:48:52 +0000 UTCReally hope you watch the prequels now. It will fill in so much of the history and mythology, but these middle parts came out first and need to be watched first to get the significance of a lot of things that will happen in the prequels.
